Tanya Malhotra and Srijan Khurana, Vatsyayana – A Himalayan Boutique Resort
From power cuts, and lashing rains to heavy snowfall, this couple faced every obstacle cheerfully to host their destination wedding in Uttarakhand!
Tanya Malhotra and her beau Srijan Malhotra, an army officer, had always nourished a dream of hosting a destination wedding in the mountains. Despite the various challenges the volatile weather threw at them, this couple pulled it together to make their dream come true. The very talented WeddingSutra Favorite – LensEyeZia Productions was their go-to source who clicked incredible pictures of their nuptials capturing countless emotions and precious moments.
How They Met
Tanya shares, “We first met at a birthday party. However, we’d had several telephonic conversations previously. After just two or three meetings Srijan surprised me with a proposal. Since then, it has been a roller coaster ride as we’ve dated for eight years in which we’ve also managed the challenges of a long-distance relationship.”
The couple roped in LensEyeZia Productions who gave them beautiful memories of one of the biggest days of their lives. The bride shares, “Our experience with team LensEyeZia has been outstanding. The team cooperated with us at every step of the way. We made the best decision by choosing them as our wedding photographers.” Behind every beautiful wedding, there’s a team that’s working hard and a couple who’s determined to make their vision come to life, come what may.
Akansha Verma from LensEyeZia Productions shares, “The day my team and I reached the wedding venue, the weather was perfect. However, luck wasn’t on our side as it started pouring and gradually turned into snowfall. Initially we were quite thrilled at the sight of the snowfall, and so was the bride as we visualized a unique look to the wedding. But as the snow levels kept increasing we got concerned. Unfortunately, the bad weather had also halted the wedding guests’ travel as they were stuck at the bottom of the hills with no movement and consequently all the events had to be delayed! As the weather got better, the party finally made it to the venue and started the Mehndi celebration. Luck was still not on our side as we experienced two to three hours of power cut due to bad weather. While the spirits did go down for a bit, the couple decided to concentrate on the silver lining and had a gala time for the rest of the night when the power returned. Tables finally turned when we finally got the weather we had hoped for in the next couple of days which let us click some amazing shots!”
After much postponement due to the unfavorable weather, the Mehndi celebration was off to a cheerful start indoors. As the bride got her palms patterned with henna, her loved ones grooved to their favorite tunes.
Hosted under a bright blue sunlit sky, the Haldi started with everyone dancing exuberantly to the beats of the Dhol. Seated against a floral arch crafted out of bright yellow marigolds and white flowers, the couple exuded joy as they playfully showered each other with flower petals. Later the groom’s friends had a merry time slathering him with Haldi.
Despite the extremely cold weather after the snowstorm, the couple braved the chilly mountain winds to host a stunning Engagement outdoors. With everyone at their stylish best, it was a striking event where the couple exchanged rings under the starlit sky surrounded by richly hued blooms.
Regal and luxurious, Tanya and Srijan’s wedding was an enchanting one. With the rich decor standing out against the backdrop of a dark sky, the wedding exuded both traditional and bohemian vibes. Adorned with pampas grass, lanterns and a floral arch, it was a stunning event and well worth the wait!
