How they met
Trishna shares “Akshit and I met for the first time in junior college! Classmates at first, we became the best of friends. We always knew there was a spark between us and started dating after college. After a decade of togetherness, as I walked down the aisle, the only thing I could think of was him, all the years we spent together, all the times we laughed and cried, the times we fought, and the ones we shared. It was one hell of a journey and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Combining a contemporary chic aesthetic with a traditional flavor, the mehndi soiree was a pastel wonderland filled with romantic florals, brass ornament, earthen pottery, and more. Diwan sets and Chandigarh chairs set a comfortable, laid back vibe, while the aroma of rajnigandha flowers enveloped the celebrations. Rattan elements, clay beverage glasses, and bowls completed the earthy, rustic setup. Kundan bangles and earrings from Jaipur along with attars from Hyderabad were gifted to their loved ones as memorable favors.

Engagement
The sundowner engagement exuded bohemian style with soft neutral colors, plumes of pampas grass, candles, and earthy elements that lit up in the rays of the setting sun. The all-white dress code also made for gorgeous, aesthetically pleasing snaps as the couple arrived with an impromptu dance and had a memorable photoshoot before exchanging rings. Matching the bohemian theme, macrame dreamcatchers, and fun hair accessories made for beautiful favors, and the intimate soiree saw an evening of champagne toasts, love, and laughter.

Sangeet
Hosted in the grand ballroom, the sangeet soiree was a dreamy affair with tons of light and lush foliage that cast “enchanted forest” vibes. A shimmering walkway of fairy lights welcomed the guests into an evening of music, dancing, and enjoyment. Eschewing a conventional stage, the couple went for an open dance floor, inviting their loved ones to join their performances and have a blast. Replete with a rousing DJ and custom cocktails, the evening was a hit!

Haldi
Drawing inspiration from Portuguese tiles and pottery, a beloved element of Goan culture, hues of cobalt blue and white added a refreshing contrast to traditional yellow flowers for a memorable haldi setup. Citrus fruits and breezy drapes added a breezy dose of coastal freshness to the occasion as well. Evil eyes on a tree represented the tree of life, while color-coded phulkari dupattas were sported by the families to mark the bride and groom’s sides!

Wedding
The beachside sunset nuptials were imagined with a soft romantic palette of pastel flowers for a magical celebration of love. Keeping the decor elegant and minimal with a statement floral mandap and a chic mirrored aisle, the couple kept the focus on the pristine ocean backdrop and enchanting sunset hues that lit up their wedding ceremony.

The couple modified their vows to match the essence of their bond and modern personalities, opting out of kanyadaan and vidai and instead taking gender-neutral vows that celebrate the spirit of equality. Filled with wholesome family moments, the wedding was one to remember.

Advice for couples
“Being a perfectionist, I was clear about what I wanted and how I wanted it to be, and thankfully our families were very supportive. However, some things are always bound to go out of control, and it is important to let go of the little details and focus more on the essence of the celebration because this time would never come back. Planning can get overwhelming at times, but just take it one day at a time and focus on enjoying the process”.
