Varsha and Aadil, St. George Orthodox Dayro, Kerala
The couple’s wedding was celebrated across three countries; India, Thailand and Oman.
Varsha and Aadil’s ‘Once upon a time’ began with a matrimonial website and their ‘happily ever after’ was a true blue fairy-tale. Their opulent wedding celebrations began at the Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam. The couple’s joyous destination after-party at The Palayana Hua Hin was designed and executed by another WeddingSutra Favorite- Divine Events while their magical reception unfolded in Oman. Here’s how the wedding festivities unfolded.
It all began with a ‘marriage fixing’ event at the Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam – a ceremony conducted on the beach at sunset, with light decor illuminated by the changing colors of the evening sky.
The couple’s engagement had a unique Benarasi theme. The decor, resplendent with elements inspired by the creations of designer Sabyasachi, was light, minimal and very classy. The couple ensured the ceremony was truly a quaint affair.
The decor for the couple’s sangeet was inspired by the traditional gold, green and white of Kerala. The couple wanted an ethnic, tropical vibe and rendered this in gorgeous, minimalistic motifs.
Varsha and Aadil’s wedding ceremony had a British Vintage theme. The white wedding took place at the St. George Orthodox Dayro Church in Kerala. The walls of which are adorned with beautiful oil paintings that created a wonderful ambiance. The ceremony was followed by a reception where the theme was evoked in elegant pastel floral decor. All the moments from the wedding ceremony were deftly captured by Stories by Joseph Radhik.
After all the wedding celebrations were over, the entire wedding crew flew to The Palayana Hua Hin in Thailand for a boisterous after party. The evening began with a laid-back white lounge soiree featuring splendid all-white decor. The party then transformed into a ‘glow in the dark’ psychedelic jamboree which lasted all night.
The wedding festivities ended with a classic, Gatsby themed reception party hosted in Muscat, Oman. The ballroom where the reception was held was resplendent with candles, feathers, pearls and florals. The color palette for the soiree was gold, white and black and special entertainers recreated magical performances from the 20s.
