Vranda and Chirag, Novotel Hua Hin Cha-Am Beach Resort & Spa Hotel, Thailand
This cheerful destination wedding in Hua Hin, Thailand, was filled with fun, entertainment and powerful Punjabi vibes.
Vranda and Chirag’s fairytale love story was showcased in their dream wedding planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Urbana Weddings and Events at Thailand where they tied the knot in a ‘Funjabi’ ceremony that was captured in all its vibrancy by WeddingSutra Favorite – Divine Mantra. The bride shares details from the wedding below.
How They Met
“Our story started in Nainital where we met through my brother’s common friends. It was definitely love at first sight for him but it took some time for me to realize it. After three years of bonding, we decided to get married. Our parents were really supportive and loving through it all.”
Having always wanted a destination wedding, the couple put a lot of thought into choosing the location. After much deliberation, they locked in on Thailand for its stunning locations and world-class services that met all their requirements. Novotel Hua Hin Cha-Am Beach Resort & Spa Hotel was their venue of choice for all the celebrations.
“We wanted it to be a fun-filled Punjabi wedding! Everything was personalized, from the juttis to the dupatta, making it very unique.” All the bridal outfits were designed by the bride’s sister-in-law.
For the haldi ceremony, the bride wore a yellow-on-yellow outfit with matching floral jewellery and accessories. The couple’s friends and family members showered Vranda and Chirag with turmeric, flowers and love during the occasion. The photographer captured stunning shots of the event, including Vranda’s mehndi which had the couple’s portrait on it along with their wedding hashtag.
The pool party was a laid-back affair. The couple and their wedding guests had a relaxed time around the gorgeous blue waters. The wedding guests were in a cheery mood as they geared up for the next function.
The cocktail party cum sangeet ceremony was a hit with the guests and everyone got grooving. Vranda wore a sequined gown while Chirag opted for a black suit. The bride, along with her brothers, performed to one of the most unexpected dance numbers and left everyone, including the groom, surprised.
The bride wore an unconventional butterfly lehenga on her big day, with the wedding’s hashtag embroidered onto it. Touchingly, the bride’s jewellery was specially designed by her mother. Her necklace was a beguiling piece of art created with kundans encrusted in enamel and lined with pearls. The groom wore a green sherwani that complemented the ruffles at the bottom of the bride’s lehenga. The look was complete with a dark green traditional scarf.
