Rhea and Yuvraj, Mumbai

Rhea and Yuvraj’s lavish wedding was resplendent with stunning decor and floral accents that fused the couple’s love of art.

Yuvraj, son of industrialist Shobhit Rajan, tied the knot with Rhea Gandhi, daughter of Shailesh Gandhi (Vadilal group in Mumbai). Their extravagant wedding impressed the well-heeled guests with its magnificent decor and stunning details.

Wedding Planning
Setting the tone for a romantic light-filled wedding, Yuvraj and Rhea’s wedding was one of the most enchanting weddings conceptualized by design maverick Sumant Jayakrishnan. Floral installations were created and the concept was thought of together along with the couple, Sumant and florist Larly Bahl as it was the perfect opportunity to use their expertise in putting together this one-of-a-kind celebration. The couple wanted their love for art to be reflected in the decor and the results were outstanding.

Wedding Venue
After a lot of research, it struck to the couple that they were very fortunate to have an estate in Mumbai which is their second home and it would be a great idea to celebrate this auspicious day there. What better opportunity than to design a venue from the ground up on this very space and call it your own. Hence, the couple decided to have the wedding at their private estate instead of going abroad.

Wedding Functions
They had an intimate engagement ceremony at their home in Mumbai with their loved ones and friends. They wanted a ceremony that reflected them and they really wanted their closed ones to witness this. It was a great opportunity for them to spend time with family and friends and embark on a new journey together.

The Sangeet was held at their private estate in Andheri, Mumbai and the groom’s entry to the venue was very special. The cocktail took place at Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

The wedding was also held at their private estate in Andheri– a rather unconventional space in Mumbai as it was all designed and built from the ground up. Art and mesh was the inspiration for the floral arrangements and decor.

Since the venue was the family’s property in Mumbai, wedding designer Sumant Jayakrishnan wanted his design to create an experience that was a natural extension of the space. Flowers and greenery played key roles in the entire design scheme. Pink, orange, gold, bronze, and rose gold comprised the color palette and these rich hues were used to create backdrops throughout the space. The result was an inspired aesthetic for a wedding that witnessed the perfect marriage of the couples brief with the designer’s signature flair for design. The purpose of the entire set up and design was all about transporting their guests to something more special and magical.

The beautiful couple who are known for their sartorial tastes looked elegant in creations by their favorite designers Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna and Kunal Rawal. Rhea made her beautiful bridal entry as singer Jasleen Royal sang her very own popular song ‘Din Shagna Da’. Mumbai’s famed Popular Caterers who happen to be the favorite caterers of the Rajan and Gandhi families whipped up the array of cuisines at all the celebrations. This was truly an affair to remember in Mumbai’s society, Bollywood and business circles.
