Anumeha and Pawan, Seychelles

Anumeha and Pawan relished the tranquility of Seychelles' Sainte Anne Island on their leisurely honeymoon

From nature walks to hiking, dinners at their private villa to stargazing, Anumeha and Pawan created lots of precious memories during their Seychelles honeymoon

“Pawan and I both studied at IIT Delhi but never met each other for almost two years there. But as destiny would have it, we both were selected to go to France for a four-month long exchange program. We also had to do a French course in New Delhi for three months before our exchange program, and that’s when and where we first met each other. We spent a lot of time roaming around in Europe, but Pawan finally proposed to me only when we returned to India on February 11, 2011. We dated after that and finally tied the knot six years later in New Delhi, on February 18, 2017.”

Honeymoon Planning
“We wanted to go to an exotic and private place for our honeymoon. Initially, we thought of going to Greece and Switzerland, but having already traveled around Europe during our wooing/pre-dating phase, we wanted to explore something different. We also considered New Zealand and South Africa, but chose Seychelles as we felt we definitely needed a relaxing break after the wedding. Seychelles seemed to be the perfect place to just be with each other and bask in the ultimate luxury of private islands and resorts, and be surrounded by mesmerizing beauty.”

Honeymoon Highlights
“We spent three nights at the Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort & Spa on Sainte Anne Island, and four nights at the Coco de Mer – Black Parrot Suites in Praslin. We explored the private island of Sainte Anne Island and the pristine Anse Lazio beach at Praslin which is considered one of the best beaches in the area. We cycled around in La Digue, hiked in Curieuse Island and took a rambling nature walk at Moyenne Island.”

Best Meal
“Our best meal was at L’Abondance which is the main restaurant at the Sainte Anne Resort & Spa. We loved the beautiful ocean views from here as well as the amazing buffet spread which had many vegetarian options. The service here was commendable.”

Romantic Moment
“Living in a beach-facing pool villa at Sainte Anne Resort & Spa was like a dream come true. We relished a romantic dinner in our private gazebo, under a starry sky and on the side of our pool near our private beach – it was bliss!”

Must-experience
“We highly recommend booking into a resort at one of the private islands in Seychelles. Couples who love adventure should definitely try snorkeling, hiking, stargazing and playing with the schools of fish that abound in the clear waters.”

Can-avoid
“Everything about our trip was awesome! We did not visit too many places – rather, we savored the peace and beauty of the region and its beaches at leisure.”

Must-avoid
“One can avoid staying at a main island like Mahe as it is crowded and mainstream.”
