Asha and Mohit Parwal – South Africa

Mohit and Asha travelled across South Africa to experience the nature reserves of Kruger National Park to the beautiful waterfronts of Cape Town

Mohit and Asha met in college and got married in February this year, in Mumbai. They were looking for gorgeous landscapes and natural beauty for their honeymoon and though their first choice was New Zealand, they were bowled over by South Africa. Here they share their tips from their travels.

Hotels and Highlights

“We travelled across South Africa staying in places ranging from the nature reserves of Kruger National Park to the swish waterfronts of Cape Town. We opted for a mix of boutique properties and city-centric renowned hotels. Our stay included Kapama Southern Camp, Kruger National Park, Scallop Lodge in Plettenberg Bay, Rosenhof Country House in Oudtshoorn, Harbour Vue Guest House in Hermanus, Coopmanhuijs in Stellenbosch and Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town. A Travel Duet recommended us accommodations which were totally apt for a honeymooning couple.”

We visited the Kruger National Park, self drove through the Garden Route – Plettenberg bay, Oudtshoorn, Hermanus, Stellenbosch and wound up in Cape Town.

Best Meal of the Trip

This would definitely be at Kapama Southern Camp within Kruger National Park. We loved the sun-downer game drive and drinks served in the open wild terrain.

Right from breakfast to dinner, each and every meal was delicious. We would rate it 10/10.

Most romantic moment

It would be too hard to pinpoint one moment. Every place we stayed in had its own beauty and that’s what made our trip so memorable and romantic!

Must Experience:

Exotic wildlife at Kruger, stunning wine routes and tastings at Stellenbosch, and the vibrant atmosphere of Cape Town

Can avoid:

Plettenberg bay
