How We Met
Ayesha shares, “I bullied Dhairya in high school! He had a crush on me, and I was mean to him, but we met again in Shanghai a few years later, and well, he finally got me!”
Honeymoon Planning
“We got married in Turkey, and thought it would be the perfect time to explore the country! We’re quite happy with our decision, as it is a beautiful place. Plus, we were excited to get on one of the hot air balloons in Cappadocia. Our trip was planned by De Luxe Life from start to finish. We loved the fact that we were provided with a day-to-day itinerary as it made our traveling experience so hassle-free! Planning our honeymoon with De Luxe Life was so easy – we just told them exactly what we wanted, and it was done. We also had a lot of changes that we wanted to make along the way, and they quickly accommodated our requests at no extra costs!”
Honeymoon Highlights
“In Istanbul, we stayed at the Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus and visited the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Bosphorus River. Our next stop was Cappadocia where we checked into the Taskonaklar Hotel Cappadocia and visited the Underground Cities, Gerome Open Air Museum and the Fairy Chimneys. While in Izmir, we visited the Pammukale Hot Springs, Konak Square, Yali Mosque and Clock Tower.”
Best Meal of the Trip
“One of our best meals of the trip was hotel breakfast in Cappadocia! We had it on the rooftop of the property, and the views were incredible! The hotel staff members were also very accommodating of vegetarians, and we had a great variety of food.”
Most Romantic Moment
“The hot air balloon experience for sure! It took place at sunrise, and the view was out of the world! The best part though was that it was all so well organized. We were served a lovely breakfast before the ride. We didn’t have to wait in line at all, and we were given VIP treatment all the way through. They even popped a bottle of champagne for us on arrival! It was such a romantic experience.”
Advice for Couples
“If you’re vegetarian, bring some snacks and packet noodles with you on your trip! The food situation is a bit tricky in Turkey, and there aren’t a lot of options.”
