Deepakshi and Vaibhav, Bali, Indonesia

The duo de-stressed from their wedding celebrations by diving into a world packed with unique Bali experiences.

If you’re still deciding where to go for your honeymoon, take inspiration from Deepakshi and Vaibhav who headed to the exotic island of Bali, in Indonesia, which is famous for its stunning coastline, gentle waves, vibrant culture, and world-famous cuisines.

How We Met
Vaibhav shared, “We saw each other first back in 2007 when I went to seek admission in a school where she was already studying. A spark was ignited then, which over the time turned into a fireball. She was always a caring classmate for me, and I was foolish enough not to notice it. It was only after we completed our school that I began realising our sweet equation, and gradually what started as a crush developed into deep love, and look here we are, from classmates of 2007-08 batch to husband-wife in 2019.”

Honeymoon Planning
“We always dreamt of visiting a place with white sand beaches and azure waters for our honeymoon. And partying is always on our wish list. After doing some research, we found that Bali ticked all the boxes we wanted. So we packed our bags and flew out for a ten-day adventure of a lifetime.”

Best Meal Of The Trip
“At Kilo Bali, we opted for a candlelight dinner, and they provided the best meal we’d ever tasted. Also, at Indian Flavours restaurant in Ubud, we relished the dal makhani and laccha paratha since we were missing Indian food.”

Most Romantic Moment
“The sunset view at Gili Air was breathtakingly beautiful with soothing live music and views of the serene blue waters which made our evening super romantic. Some wine in our bellies was a delicious addition!”

Advice For Couples
“For accommodation, try and avoid staying in Kuta Selatan as it’s very congested. We didn’t stay there thanks to the advice and reviews we got from couples who had stayed there.”

Must-do Experiences
“Don’t miss out on visiting Nusa Penida. The island, also known as the ‘Blue Paradise,’ is a marvel with crystal clear waters. Take a package tour with a private driver to go around the island, which will typically include snorkelling at three spots, transfers via speed boats, and a pick up and drop service to your hotel. The glorious sunsets at the Potato Head Beach Club are memorable and the place has a perfect setup and ambience to enjoy the amazing vistas. Whether you drink by the barrel or are a ‘one glass of wine only’ person, you will enjoy spending an evening at the liveliest beach club in Seminyak.”
