Disha and Aman, France
Disha and Aman’s honeymoon in France included a memorable meal at the iconic Eiffel Tower and dazzling fireworks display at Disneyland Paris which left them spellbound.
From getting awed at Disneyland Paris to romancing each other on a photo shoot on the streets of Paris, Disha and Aman’s honeymoon in France served up amazing experiences that are bound to become the couple’s favorite memories. Here, Disha shares how her childhood dream of visiting Paris came true – this time, with her beloved.
How We Met
“Aman and I joined the same company in Bangalore once we completed our MBA courses. We immediately felt a spark between us. It started with casual conversations, moved on to deep discussions, and before we knew it, we had forged a strong bond and were each other’s best friend. I was drawn to his personality and approach towards life. He is a simple person, and despite being fiercely ambitious he has realistic perceptions, which is what I love about him. Eventually, he got transferred to Pune while I stayed back in Bangalore. During this period, we realized that we could not stay without each other. As fate would have it, I too got transferred to Pune a few months later. We happened to live in the same neighborhood as a result of which we started seeing each other even more often. About a year since we first met we started dating. And after two and a half years of our relationship, we became a happily married couple!”
“Going to Paris for my honeymoon had been my childhood dream. I am a hopeless romantic, and to my delight, Aman is no different! We wanted my honeymoon to be classic and something that we would cherish for a lifetime. So we toured through France, and Paris, of course, was one of the cities we visited. After all, what’s a better place to go to for a romantic getaway other than the City of Love? The trip was organized by a friend of ours who owns a travel company. We were clear that we weren’t looking to travel in a group and wanted the flexibility that only a customized itinerary could provide us. Our friend devised an ideal travel plan that wasn’t too hectic and ensured that our vacation was both enjoyable and relaxing.”
“We visited several places in France, including Lyon, Annecy, Saint Paul de Vence, Nice, Monaco Cannes and so on, but Paris was our favorite stop. We thoroughly enjoyed the time that we spent at Disneyland Paris. We were there for twelve hours straight and sat through the display of fireworks and lights that the park showcases each night at 11 pm. The sights of the hour-long show dazzled us! The cruise that we took on the Seine River was another part of the Paris experience that we loved immensely. Gliding on the river and watching monuments and the twinkling city lights pass by us was simply spectacular and is highly recommended.”
Best Meal Of The trip
“Our lunch at 58 Tour Eiffel, which is a restaurant on the first level of this iconic monument, was undoubtedly the best meal of the trip. The place is on the expensive side but the food and the experience they offer is worth it. While I stuck to their vegetarian options, Aman tried out their non-vegetarian offerings. Needless to say, both of us were delighted by our meals.”
Most Romantic Moment
“For us, love was in the little actions, sweet reactions, the constant feeling of happiness that being with each other brought to us; therefore picking out just one or two romantic moments from the trip would be a little difficult. But when I look back, some of the first memories that strike me from the trip are of the two of us on the second level of the Eiffel Tower on a breezy afternoon admiring the picturesque view and clicking pictures, or grabbing a beer in Lyon and just relaxing in each other’s company. Even the guided tour combined with a photo shoot in Paris was a wonderful experience. We were very happy with the decision of getting a photoshoot done as those pictures will forever be a reminder of the beautiful moments we shared in France.”
Advice For Couples
“Live every moment of your honeymoon since you will never get this time back!”
“Besides the Eiffel Tower, Disneyland Paris and Seine River Cruise that I had mentioned earlier, a trip to the French Riviera is a must. We took a road trip and covered about 20 cities in a day. We are glad we didn’t miss out on this experience.”
“Avoid group honeymoons. Try going solo with your spouse so that you get to spend time with just each other and can plan your trip as you like.”
“If you aren’t into art and history, you can give The Louvre a miss. Due to its sheer expanse, it will take up an entire day to cover which you can otherwise spend exploring the city.”
