Honeymoon Planning
“We didn’t want to go to a travel agent and get a fixed, commercialized itinerary. We’d considered a few places – Goa, Maldives, Seychelles – but after spending weeks reading and researching travel blogs and websites we chose Bali. Believe us it was an immersive experience in such a short time – 5 of the most beautiful days of our lives!”

Honeymoon Highlights
“The highlight was our stay at the Seminyak Icon. It started with the prompt greeting at the airport. At the hotel, the private pool and the villa layout were amazing and the breakfasts (we were spoilt for choice) and complimentary daily high tea were delicious and exquisite! We had the most memorable and unique personalized experiences. We tried out some watersports in Nusa Dua on our first day. Then we visited the ‘Garuda Vishnu Kencana Cultural Park’ that has the magnificent Vishnu and Garuda statue. We ended our day in the most beautiful Balinese Luhur Uluwatu Temple.

The next day we went river rafting in the ‘Ayung’ river. It was our first ever river rafting experience; besides beautiful views we had 3 hours of complete adventure! This was definitely an experience of a lifetime. We also visited the Tanah Lot temple, which is a must when you visit Bali. We spent our last day wandering through galleries that showcase a range of modern art, boutiques with high-end fashion and also a number of cafes, restaurants, and bars.”

Best Meal of the trip
“We wanted authentic Balinese food and ended up in Warung Kampong Padas. Here we ordered the chicken betutu spicy gravy and grilled honey and satay wrapped chicken. Another must try when you are in Bali is the seafood from Jimbaran Bay. There are also plenty of traditional restaurants where you can choose fresh seafood and they will cook it for you.”

Advice to couples
“We had an unforgettable trip, but this happened only because we spent weeks reading travel blogs and websites and then made our own itinerary and a list of must-visits. Start planning your travel well in advance, get to know and understand the place and make bookings wisely.”
