Hetvi and Vatsal, Amalfi Coast
Exploring colorful towns backed by rugged mountains and fronted by bright blue seas, Hetvi and Vatsal found true bliss on their honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast.
Hetvi and Vatsal were introduced in an arranged marriage set-up and tied the knot in a traditional wedding in their hometown, Mumbai. They were looking for stunning landscapes on their honeymoon and discovered a dream destination in the Amalfi Coast.
The couple shares some highlights of their honeymoon.
How we met
“I’d always thought the idea of an arranged-love marriage to be a bit peculiar,” Hetvi says, “I mean, it’s either an arranged marriage or a love marriage, right?” She laughs, saying, “Who knew this would happen to us?”
Hetvi’s maasi insisted she go see this guy, “According to her, he was the perfect fit for me. That afternoon, we exchanged numbers and decided to meet that evening.” Vatsal said he’d pick her up but he was an hour late. Still, she says, “We drove around for a while talking to each other and reached Su Casa where we spent four hours talking to each other.” After the meeting however, they lost touch until they met, by accident at a club called BCB. “For both of us sparks flew,” Hetvi says, “We knew this was it! We got married in Mumbai on 11th May 2018.”
The couple talked about the Amalfi Coast non stop while they dated and the bride says, “We’d already decided we’d love to travel to a place like this together.”
She says, “Our first destination was Positano. It’s known as the party destination of Amalfi and it is! We stayed at Le Agavi which offered us one of their best rooms – overlooking the ocean.
Our next stop was Capri. We stayed at the Hotel Excelsior Parco and we had a jacuzzi inside our room! We visited Anacapri the next day and we highly recommend visiting the lighthouse to watch the sunset. They also have some killer parties around so you can easily spend time enjoying the good vibes there.”
