Inderpreet and Rahul – Maldives
From hand-tossed pizzas to stunning sunsets, Inderpreet and Rahul enjoyed a slice of paradise in Maldives on their honeymoon
Inderpreet and Rahul met in high school. She shares, “Ours was a love marriage. We got married on November 24 last year in Udaipur. I live in Kansas City in the US, and Rahul is in Udaipur. He is waiting for his immigrant US visa so he can join me.”
The couple decided to travel to Maldives for their week-long honeymoon in January this year as both love pristine beaches. Here, they share highlights of their experience there…
Honeymoon Highlights
“Maldives is all about island life, so we picked Kandooma island for our honeymoon. We had a direct water boat transfer from the international airport to the Holiday Inn Resort in Kandooma where we stayed for the entire trip,” shares Inderpreet.
The couple enjoyed snorkeling under the crystal-clear waters, diving to explore marine life and luxuriated at the spa in the resort. Inderpreet shared that the resort provides free snorkeling lessons for those who have never tried the activity before – and these classes under the guidance of certified professionals go a long way in quelling ones anxiety and nervousness.
Best Meal
The couple share that the best meal they had was in the resort’s Dine In! The Kitchen where the chefs whip up lovely delights in a fun, interactive way in front of diners. “We relished the hand-tossed pizza here and think it was the best we ever had!” recalls Inderpreet.
Romantic Moment
“Our most romantic moment was at The Deck which served as the rooftop bar at the resort. It’s the best place to unwind and enjoy the mesmerising sunset. We spent a magical night at this venue,” says Inderpreet.
Advice to couples
“Simply pack your bags and get, set, go! Maldives is paradise, and couples will find it a perfect honeymoon destination – especially those who love beaches,” states Inderpreet.
