Just like most couples Lashika and Jatin agree that a honeymoon is an ideal way to recover from the hustle-bustle of a wedding. However, unlike any of them, these two planned one that went on for more than a month and took them to Australia, New Zealand, Bora Bora, and Singapore! The bride shares with us some highlights of their honeymoon.
How We Met
“Jatin and I had signed up with a matrimonial service and met each other through that.”
Honeymoon Planning
“We knew that once our wedding was over, we would want to go for a long vacation. Therefore we planned a honeymoon that lasted for 33 days! Over this period, we covered Australia, New Zealand, and Bora Bora. While looking up places, we fell in love with the beauty of Australia and New Zealand. As for Bora Bora, it had always been a dream destination for me because not many people go there which makes it unique. That’s how we finalized our destinations. We also stopped over at Singapore where we stayed for three days and spent all our time shopping!”
Honeymoon Highlights
“In New Zealand, we drove through most parts of the country ourselves. This was a remarkable experience, and the sights that we came across were unlike any other! In Australia, we visited Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast and all of them were amazing.”
Best Meal of The Trip
“If we had to pick our most favorite dining experience, it wouldn’t be a meal. It was the hot chocolate at Habibi Cafe in Auckland that blew our minds! This is a 24-hour cafe that also serves hookah throughout the day, and it instantly became our favorite place to hang out at. Jatin and I are also hookah lovers so this cafe gave us so many beautiful memories to cherish!”
Most Romantic Moment
“When we were at Bora Bora, Jatin booked a private island. When we reached there, I saw that the whole area was decorated with flowers, candles and lights. Everything looked mesmerizing, and I was overjoyed with the kind of effort and thought that he had put in. It was one of the most romantic and beautiful occasions that we shared.”
Must-experience
“Staying at the tree houses at Hapuku Lodge in Kaikoura is something that I recommend to everyone going to New Zealand. Beside this, skydiving and scuba diving are must-try activities too.”
Can-avoid
“There is nothing from our trip that I would say should be avoided. Every part of it was beautiful. Moreover, your honeymoon is the time to enjoy so go all out and have as much fun as you can.”
