Monal is a company secretary, and Varun is a merchant navy officer. The two had an arranged marriage in Agra, and flew to Bali for their 15-day honeymoon. Here, Monal shares fun memories of their trip.

“Varun researched many honeymoon destinations online. He had heard a lot about the amazing beauty of Bali, its stunning sunrises and sunsets, temples, cuisine and friendly people so we decided on Bali for our honeymoon. We had also considered Europe but opted for Bali in the end.”
Honeymoon Highlights
“Every corner of Bali is beautiful – be it the beaches along the clear ocean, the chirping of birds in serene spots, lush greenery all around… We will always cherish the moments we spent exploring here, alongside expanding our hearts and opening our minds to all the lovely experiences. It was magical and Bali was unlike any other place I had ever been to.”
“We were so thankful to have been surrounded by beauty and enjoyed river rafting, sudden rains that always gave way to the sun and the sheer poetry of nature all around us. Every day was filled with stunning scenes and sensational experiences.”
“We visited the Bali Collection Shopping Centre as well as the Water Blow Beach and Nusa Dua beaches in that lovely resort area. In Kuta, we went to Sky Garden Lounge as well as Single Fin and Dreamland beaches. The latter was located on the Bukit peninsula. We relaxed at the Rock Bar and Ocean Pool at the Ayana Resort and Spa. In Seminyak, we visited Potato Head Beach Club, Mirror Lounge & Club, Woobar and the Seminyak Square Shopping Mall.”
“We enjoyed trekking in Mount Batur and soaked in warm waters at the hot springs in Ubud, near Mount Batur. We loved the Garuda Vishnu and Uluwatu temples, the Boshe VVIP and La Laguna Beach clubs as well.”
Best Meal
“It would be difficult to name one as there were many.One restaurant we really liked was Indian Tandoor at Jimbaran.”
Must Experience
“We highly recommend that couples consider staying at The Oberoi Bali in Seminyak. The best part of Bali was Seminyak which is ideal for all those who like the hustle bustle of life. Couples should not miss chilling out at the Sky Garden Lounge and Rock Bar by Ayana Resorts.”
Can Avoid
“Couples can avoid staying at Nusa Dua. It is better to visit the cool places there instead of staying there.”
