Neha and Vishal – Las Vegas

The combination of luxury and romance- Las Vegas and its ultimate luxury and nightlife and Miami with its white sandy beaches and best weather

Neha and Vishal’s ‘how we met’ story is interesting. Both their fathers were searching for prospective matches. His father shortlisted her profile on a matrimonial site to show him; the fathers after e-connecting realised they know each other. Neha and Vishal met up and rest as the cliche goes is history. They got married in November 2013 and went for their honeymoon break in December 2013. Neha tells us more.

Honeymoon planning

“We proceeded on our honeymoon on 17th December because we wanted to celebrate Vishal’s birthday (19 Dec) and Christmas on our honeymoon. I always wanted to visit a very different destination for my honeymoon, not the usual honeymoon hot-spots so after a lot of research me and Vishal decided on the combination of luxury and romance- Las Vegas and its ultimate luxury and nightlife and Miami with its white sandy beaches and best weather. Overall, we loved everything about our holiday and we were very happy with our decision. “

Miami

Our first stop was Miami; we stayed in Red South Beach Hotel close to south beach Miami. We weren’t too happy with the choice of our stay though- it didn’t have great views, and we realised taking a cab from there to the main market is a bit expensive. But on the whole, Miami in December was superb- amazing weather and very less traffic. The ocean drive was awesome and the open restaurants and bars were the coolest places to be at. From Miami we went to Universal Studios in Orlando, it was a one day trip and we had fun over the rides and spending time at the theme parks.

Las Vegas

In Las Vegas we stayed at Hard Rock Hotel. The hotel and its services were amazing but it was far from the ‘Las Vegas Strip’. So travelling there was expensive, and we felt we should have stayed at a hotel at the strip itself. In Vegas we spent time at the casinos, Hoover Dam and shows like Blue Man Group, and pampered ourselves at the luxury spas and enjoyed meals at the fine dining restaurants. It was truly the ‘life of luxury’ experience.

Recommendations

– Vegas and Miami are for couples who are not looking for ‘romance & isolation’, but ‘love in the city’. In our case we were clear we wanted to explore new places and spend time at nightlife hot-spots so this worked very well for us.
– If you’re missing Indian food in Vegas, try the Indian restaurant near Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas, the fare there is quite nice.
