Nakul and Ridhima tied the knot on December 10th, 2016 in a lavish ceremony held at the ITC Maratha Sheraton, Mumbai. Here, the couple shares highlights of their honeymoon in Switzerland shortly after.

“Australia, the Maldives and South East Asia were on our list but we chose Switzerland even though it’s cliché because it’s the most romantic honeymoon destination of all.”
Honeymoon Highlights
“We went to Zurich and Lucerne. In Zurich, we stayed at the beautiful Romantik Seehotel Sonne by Lake Zurich. It’s centrally located, has the best service and was luxury at its best.”
Major Excursions
“To be honest, we were really very excited about spending time looking at the snow capped peaks. To get to Mt Titlis you have to travel three levels of cable cars. The final stretch features the world’s only revolving cable car. As the car elevates, the floor rotates and you get a 360 degree view of the surroundings! We really enjoyed the experience.
We also visited the Christmas market in Zurich. It was bustling and the streets were full of great shopping opportunities. Above all, it’s also breathtakingly beautiful!”
Best Meal
“It may sound silly to go all the way to Switzerland for this but our best meal happened right after our visit to Mt Titlis. At the base is a little café with an Indian chef and they serve simply delicious samosas. They were steaming and served with chutney and coffee. After the freezing mountain temperatures, it was just what we needed.”
Most Romantic Moment
“Experiencing snowfall together for the first time was definitely the most romantic moment for us!”
Must Experience
“A visit to Mt. Titlis and Lucerne city is a must!”
Advice to other Honeymooners
“If you’re traveling to Switzerland in December, make sure you carry appropriate winter clothing. Also, familiarize yourself with international driving laws. Public transport is expensive so it is more convenient to have your own car/transportation. We had our own smart car with a navigation system and it made the trip so comfortable and enjoyable.”
