Sapna and Shalin – Bali
Ubud and Seminyak - a mix of scenic and lively Bali for the couple's honeymoon
Sapna and Shalin got married at a grand celebration in Narayani Dham, Lonavala in February this year. They are based in Mumbai where they both work with IT companies. Here, Sapna writes about their post-wedding holiday.
“We contemplated various options since we wanted to a mix of city life and a quiet leisure holiday. Shalin being a complete party animal loves loud music and clubbing while I prefer a quiet dinner by the sea. So from a long list of options like Maldives, Mauritius and Singapore, we zeroed in on Bali.
We approached World Travel Studio- Holiday Planners to suggest which would be the most apt location for us. Based on our individual preferences, WTS suggested an itinerary which perfectly suited both our tastes and they gave us the option to try a mix of a leisure stay cum city life experience in Bali. As per our itinerary, we initially stayed in Ubud and later in Seminyak.
In Ubud we were stayed at Rijasa Ahyung which is a beautiful property above the Ubud River. We had a beautiful Plunge pool villa with a breath-taking view of the Ubud River. We then moved to Seminyak where we stayed at Bali Rich hotel.

Scale Mount Batur in Kintamani: Plan a half day trip to the Kintamani which is home to Mount Baturwith Bali’s best scenery.
Ubud Market: Shopaholics like me should visit the Ubud market to shop for local stuff like Saro, beach wear, mementoes etc. You can also go for a relaxing foot spa after a walk in the market and wrap up the day by enjoying a drink or a cup of coffee at a local cafe

– You may want to avoid Kintamani as it is too much of a walk to see a huge hill scarred with volcanic eruptions.
