Honeymoon Planning
Discussing the thought behind planning a Greece honeymoon, Shivani says, “Since Niteesh and I had never travelled outside the country before, we wanted an international honeymoon. We both are water babies so we were looking for a place with incredible beaches and islands. Although we had shortlisted Spain and some parts of Eastern Europe, we zeroed down on Greece as it boasts of some amazing locales and quaint surroundings which would allow us to relax as a couple. Athens, Mykonos and Santorini proved to be amazing places and kicked off our love of international travel!
Honeymoon Highlights
The couple explored Athens, the Cyclade islands of Santorini and Mykonos during their eight-day trip. While a visit to the Acropolis in Athens was a memory they will cherish forever, the couple believes the romantic time they spent at the red and black beach at Santorini was a major highlight of their trip.
Best Meal of The Trip
“While we loved trying different local delicacies in Greece, we loved the food at Kouros Hotels and Suites in Mykonos. We rate the food, service and ambience there very highly, and would definitely recommend it to everybody visiting the island.”
Most Romantic Moment
“Our entire trip was onevery romantic experience in itself. However, one of our most memorable moments was when we spent time together at the 180º Sunset Bar in Mykonos. Watching the gorgeous sunset and feeling blissful was the most surreal experience I have had until now.”
Must Experience
“The architecture in Santorini is something you shouldn’t ever miss.” Shivani also recommends visiting Acropolis in Athens and taking a stroll in the city of Mykonos.
Must Avoid
“While there is nothing that you should strictly avoid on your trip to Greece, you can give the Crete and Narcos islands a miss if needed.”
