Sneha, a Corporate Communications Trainer and Aseem, a software professional got married in Mumbai. Their wedding was a fun-filled affair and the wedding functions included a traditional South Indian wedding ceremony followed by a grand reception. …Two states – random coffee dates – soul mates: is our sweet & short love story, quips Sneha. The couple travelled to Bali and Phuket for their honeymoon and shared their experience- Best of BaliIn Bali we found a local travel agent who took care of our local sightseeing, activities and managed to get us the best hotel deals. We stayed at the Bali Kuta Resort by Swiss-Belhotel. We kept two factors in mind while deciding on our accommodation- budget and accessibility. Must-visit places: Ulun Danu Temple (Bedugul), Mt. Kintamani & Lake Batur, Uluwatu Temple, Ubud Village, Bali Botanical Garden, Kuta Beach and Tanah Lot Sea Temple.
Must-do activities:a) Sea Walker: You are taken 8 feet below the sea level where you can not only see fishes but touch and feed them too. The encounter with fishes and underwater species is spectacular. Watching and feeding fishes in their natural habitat is a wonderful experience. It is completely safe and can even be done by non swimmers. b) Kecak Fire & Trance Dance: A form of Balinese dance and music drama that developed in the 1930’s in Bali. Also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant. c) Candle Night Dinner: Enjoy live singing, traditional dance performances & beautiful sunset at Jimbaran beach.
Relaxing and Refreshing PhuketWe planned the Phuket trip on our own. We stayed at the Thara Patong Beach Resort Spa which had incredible emerald-green water, golden sand, exotic Thai cuisine, fabulous nature and gracious hospitality. Must-visit places: Patong Beach, Phromthep Cape, Phi Phi Island, FantaSea Cultural Theme Park, Bangla Street, James Bond Island, WatChalong Temple and Jungceylon Mall.
Must-do activities:a) Elephant Safari, ATV Ride& White Water Rafting: It can be easily booked by local agents or by the resort you are staying in.
Advice to other Honeymooners:– Plan your trip well in advance. Avoid a very hectic itinerary and never travel in a group as it is very difficult to meet their schedules. |
