How We Met
“Poonit and I were born and raised in Tanzania. However, we both took different directions in life. I grew up in England, and Poonit grew up in Tanzania but moved to Perth in Australia later. A couple of years back, our families introduced us and that’s how our journey began.We dated for one and half years and had traveled together before tying the knot.”
Honeymoon Planning
“We got married in Rajkot in Gujarat amidst much fanfare and wanted to let our hair down and spend some quality time together on our honeymoon. Maldives was a natural choice as we are both beach bums. The idea of a relaxing week in a luxurious villa next to crystal clear waters and golden beaches was very alluring.”
Honeymoon Highlights
“Since we just had five days to enjoy our honeymoon, we decided on making the most out of it by just relaxing and soaking in some sunshine. Therefore, we thoroughly enjoyed spending quality time together at the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, and the W Hotel in Maldives. While the Taj Exotica Resort & Spa offered a wide range of activities for young couples and families, the W hotel had a very youthful vibe. We loved our couples spa and pool sessions, and also went scuba diving!”
Best meal
The food at both the hotels was good but we loved the food at W Resort as we had a dedicated chef looking after our dietary requirements.
Most Romantic Moment
“Some of our most romantic moments took place during our honeymoon photoshoot which coincided with my birthday celebrations. We had a private dinner setting on the beach side which was truly special.”
Advice for Couples
“Sometimes it is best to relax and let your hair down without the pressures of traveling around a lot on your honeymoon. Soak in some warm sun and enjoy the beauty of your honeymoon destination.”
