From white water rafting to spending New Year’s Eve in the vibrant coastal city of Rio, this couple’s honeymoon was a delightful adventure!
Vidhi and Yashen, who met through a mutual friend, went on to tie the knot in an arranged marriage setup. They were determined to do something different for their honeymoon. Having discovered that they’ve both been to most of the popular honeymoon destinations in the world, the duo zeroed in on the vibrant and lush South America where they quenched their thirst for adventure and sunlit beaches.
Honeymoon Planning
Vidhi shares, “We wanted to visit a unique place for our honeymoon, and having visited North America and Europe on separate trips, we chose Argentina and Brazil. Australia and South Africa featured on our list too, but in the end, South America won us over with its collective treat of mountains, beaches, adventure activities, and relaxing atmosphere.”
Honeymoon Highlights
“We started from Buenos Aires in Argentina which is a perfect balance of culture and nightlife. Next on our list was the Perito Moreno Glacier in En Calafate which was absolutely stunning. Post that, we did a thrilling session of grade five white water rafting at El Chalten, and to challenge ourselves further, we took the Laguna de Los Tres hike which is by far one of the toughest hikes I’ve experienced, but in the end, we got to see the magnificent Mt Fitz Roy which made every minute worth it! Additionally, we also visited the Iguazu Falls and spent the beginning of the New Year in Rio’s Copacabana beach and paid the iconic Christ the Redeemer a visit. We ended the trip on a relaxing note by chilling out on the beaches.”
Most romantic moment
“We had an amazing time at El Chalten which is a picturesque town. On the day that we visited, it rained heavily and we couldn’t travel anywhere, which was a boon as it allowed us to slow down and enjoy each other’s company. That day, it almost felt like we were disconnected from the world.” shares Vidhi.
