Vishakha and Ankit, Europe
From skydiving in Interlaken and promenading on the beaches of the French Riviera to a shopping spree in Paris, this couple’s European honeymoon was a romantic yet adventurous journey.
Vishakha, a home baker, and Ankit a businessman, united over their love for chocolate and quickly progressed from friendship to love as time flew by. And, once the two realized the chemistry between them, nothing could stop them from getting hitched and embarking on a journey that would last a lifetime. To celebrate the new chapter in their lives, the duo chose the picturesque countries of Europe where they experienced romance, tranquility, and adventure in huge doses.
How They Met
Vishakha shares, “We first met when Ankit ordered a cake from me and within the same week, I’d received three more chocolate cake orders from him. Soon, I discovered that he loved chocolates as much as me and that led us to be great friends. And after that, there was no looking back as we somehow ‘clicked’. Absolutely nothing could stop us from falling in love and on new year’s eve, he proposed to me!”
Honeymoon Highlights
“Our journey was serene and breathtaking. We traveled using different modes of transport from cars and cycles to trains to experience the essence of each place.
Our journey started with a drive from Vienna to Salzburg via Hallstatt, which is a small town in upper Austria. A storybook of a town, we felt like we were inside a fairytale from the moment we stepped foot into Hallstatt. We also took a day trip to the Bavarian Alps in Salzburg and explored the underground world of salt mines.
After that, we went to Switzerland, which, with all its majestic beauty, has a special place in my heart. In this country, we took numerous day trips and dinner dates. However, we did add a smattering of adventure to the trip as we impulsively decided to skydive at Interlaken. It was probably the best spontaneous decision we ever made! From thereon, we visited Mt. Titlis, Mt. Jungfrau, and Glacier 3000 where we took an Alpine coaster ride at freezing temperatures.
Next on our itinerary were day trips to Monaco, Cannes, and St. Tropez. Monaco, especially, is a stupefying town with all the paparazzi crowded around the casinos. In Nice, we spent lazy evenings watching sunsets and enjoying delicious treats.
For our final stop, we chose Paris where we took the River Limousine Cruise near the Eiffel Tower, and went on extravagant shopping sprees, we also visited Disneyland.”, recollects an excited Vishakha.
Best Meal of The Trip
“As avid foodies, we did thorough research about where to grab our meals in every city. Rialto in Gstaad served us some really delicious pizzas and pasta!”, shares Vishakha.
Most romantic moment
“On Glacier 3000, it was a -4-degree Celsius temperature, and we were absolutely freezing even though we were inside a snow bus. Throughout the journey, Ankit kept hugging me to keep me warm, after which, he opened his backpack to bring out a box of warm Maggie noodles! I was instantly smiling and was surprised that he’d cooked the meal. As we sat there in the snow sharing a box of Maggi, my childhood dream came true and it just felt perfect.”, shares Vishakha.

“Be spontaneous and experience the thrilling side of the continent by skydiving and taking the Alpine coaster. Also try exploring many of the places by foot.”, shares Vishakha.

“Take your time to experience each city and country. Avoid filling up your itinerary with too many destinations.”, advises Vishakha.
