Vrinda and Bandish – Spain
A memorable Spanish Experience, planned with help from 'A Travel Duet'
Vrinda and Bandish Mehta got married in January this year in Mumbai. They decided to travel to Spain for their honeymoon to experience, a country they’d heard so much about.
These are their experiences.
Hotels and Highlights
The hotels we stayed at were mostly 4 stars. The rooms were excellent, nice and spacious. The staff everywhere were courteous and guided us very well. Language did not seem to be a barrier as most of them understood English. We cycled around all day through the old world streets of Seville, which is an amazing city.
Then we went to Tenerife, which we picked solely on the recommendation of Kanika and Aayushi of ‘A Travel Duet’. This island was an excellent addition to our itinerary. We loved the star gazing and whale watching escapades. We took a really fun Segway ride across the beaches of Marbella and our guide was nice enough to show us around even after our designated time was over.
Our next and final stop was in Barcelona. There are no enough words to describe this magical city. We just LOVED every bit of our time there. Being a huge football fan, it was a dream come true for me to be able to go and visit FC Barcelona Camp Nou. Adding a romantic and rejuvenating thermal bath and spa experience in Barcelona just marked a perfect end to our perfect honeymoon.
And though Granada was a bit cold when we arrived, it is rich in fascinating history.
Best meal of the trip
At Oller De Mas, a vineyard outside Barcelona we were served some sublime cheese and wine.
Most romantic moment
Taking a private yacht to go see the whales and other cetaceans in Tenerife and then cycling across Seville; both of these experiences were out of this world.
Must-experience
Seville. It’s an amazing city.
Can-avoid:
Perhaps Granada if you are not a history buff.
