Ashika and Ankit, Ethereal Open Air Resort, California
Ashika and Ankit’s wedding in the US was a colorful and traditional one with picture-perfect outdoor events .
Ashika and Ankit chose to get married at a beautiful venue in California surrounded by their family and close friends. Here’s a glimpse of their celebrations at the charming Ethereal Open Air Resort.
Ashika wore a beautiful blue and white lehenga which was perfect for the outdoor day event. She paired this with an eye-catching blue bindi and bespoke jewellery. The decor for this fun function included colorful ribboned garlands, henna stalls, and opulent floral arrangements. Guests were serenaded by live musical performances and treated to delectable Indian food. This event was an intimate affair with only close relatives and friends taking part in the festivities.
This event kicked off with the traditional ‘haldi’ (turmeric application) ceremony. Multicultural guests got cards with explanations and rundown schedules of the activities planned so they could understand what was going on. These cards also had fun instructions which they had to follow. This was again an outdoor day event, and Ashika wore a yellow saree for this function. Ankit went for a casual look in a white tee and shorts, which would soon get messed up with turmeric. He also wore a black hat that had ‘Groom’ emblazoned on top.
The couple exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony on the lawns of the Ethereal Open Air Resort. Ankit and his ‘baraat’ (groom’s procession) along with his family members entered the ceremony venue to the heady beats of drums. The beautiful setup at the wedding included a large canopy with striking floral accents. Ashika looked resplendent in a peach and floral lehenga by Sabyasachi, and Ankit looked every bit of a royal in his white sherwani. The bridesmaids coordinated their look by wearing deep maroon lehengas paired with floral blouses that matched Ashika’s bridal outfit. The groomsmen went with matching deep purple kurtas and white trousers.
The reception had a theme that was similar to an ‘Enchanted Garden’ and the decor incorporated jewel-colored hues and roses that amplified the gorgeous vibe of the occasion. The dance floor with bright lights that illuminated the surroundings in a glamorous manner. An assortment of lanterns, tea lights, and decorative accents were used to decorate the venue creatively. Gorgeous cutlery was also carefully chosen to add a special touch to the long wooden dining tables that were set up outdoors. Ashika wore a gorgeous white lace gown with embellishments at the waist, while Ankit looked dapper in a tuxedo.
