How They Met
Neesha and Sean first encountered each other at a mutual friend’s birthday party who’d struck up a friendship with Sean in high school and had later met Neesha in college. As time flew by, Neesha and Sean’s friendship blossomed into love and they dated for six years before they finally decided to tie the knot.
Planning an Indian wedding overseas is never an easy task and acknowledging this fact, the duo chose experienced vendors they could really trust to do a stellar job. On the photography front, they chose PTaufiq Photography, who with their superior skills ensured that each shot was worth a thousand words. Gushing about their experience with the photography team, the couple shares, “PTaufiq Photography did such an amazing job in capturing each and every moment so effortlessly and in such stunning detail. Also, their team was so accommodating. We’d happily work with them again!”
Adding to the team were planners ‘Touch of Elegance Events & Designs’, caterers ‘Mantra’, decorators ‘House of Dipali’, makeup artist ‘Cinderella Bridez’ along with DJ USA.
Following a traditional theme, the close-knit Mehendi ceremony was hosted at Neesha’s parent’s house where a joint haldi ceremony was also held for the bride and groom. A cheerful occasion that celebrated the unfolding of a new chapter in the duo’s life, it consisted of a Chooda ceremony too and was punctuated by merry folk songs and boisterous dance performances.
Combining eastern and western traditions, the wedding was a stunning event where the groom made his entry riding a horse. Greeted with a performance by the bride and her squad of bridesmaids, Sean was pleasantly surprised as he entered the venue. Neesha shares, “For the mandap, we had our heart set on an elegant and modern mandap to be in sync with the venue. Hence we decided to go with delicate hues and blooms. After the ceremony, lunch was served outdoor on the lawn.”
Hosted at a parking lot, underneath a transparent roofed tent that was adorned with glimmering chandeliers and disco balls, the reception was a glitzy affair where the newlyweds took the dance floor by storm. Accompanied by heartfelt toasts and a delicious spread the reception revelries lasted late into the night.
