Vidhi Shah and Sharvil Kapadia, Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia

Vidhi Shah, a data analyst at Google and Sharvil Kapadia, a Product Manager at Amazon, celebrated their wedding in Atlanta with a heady mix of tradition, love and revelry. Photographing these precious moments of the couple was WeddingSutra Favorite – Camlition Productions who didn’t let a single precious moment slip by while capturing every tiny detail of the union. How They Met
Vidhi shares, “We first met at our mutual friend’s wedding in 2016. Considering that we lived on the opposite sides of the country, our friendship initially started with exchanging messages on Facebook that eventually led us to spend hours chatting on the phone for a few months before we finally went out on a date!”

The Proposal
For the wedding proposal, Sharvil tricked Vidhi into flying with him to New York for a friend’s wedding as an excuse. Knowing that the 4th of July was her favorite holiday, he took her to the front of the Belvedere Castle in Central Park on that very day. After an emotional proposal, the couple watched fireworks together by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Wedding Planning
Hosted over the weekend, the wedding consisted of five events, three of which were hosted at home. Vidhi and Sharvil wanted their special moments to be captured by a team who would do complete justice to their vision and ensure every moment was encapsulated perfectly, especially the adorable candid ones. For this, they selected Camlition Productions. The couple shares, “Camlition Productions are magicians! To begin with, they instantly made us both feel so comfortable and ensured that there was a fine balance of pictures that consisted of both, formally posed as well as funny, candid moments where we could just be ourselves.

On the design front, the duo went for a more regal and traditional look with a scroll-like invite that reflected elements from the wedding decor, namely, lanterns and foliage!

Weddings Functions
Haldi
With everyone donning cheery hues of yellow, the home-based Haldi was a playful one as the couple’s loved ones slathered them with turmeric. Simple, minimalistic yet filled with joy, this occasion was punctuated with smiles and laughter.

Puja
Hosted again at the couple’s home with the rich hues of surrounding foliage lending a stunning backdrop, the Puja was an auspicious occasion where everyone prayed to the deities for a successful union. Looking beautiful in a vivid purple and silver Banarasi saree, Vidhi radiated happiness as she posed with Sharvil who wore a dusty pink kurta set.

Mehndi
As a canopy of bulbs lit up the dark evening sky, Vidhi and Sharvil took to their home lawn to celebrate the Mehndi. At this event, the couple looked blissful as Sharvil took a closer look at the henna patterns on Vidhi’s palms and both enjoyed the magic of the moment.

Wedding
Flaunting a rich color palette of red, white and gold, the couple’s December wedding exuded a regal yet dreamy vibe. With delicate gold lanterns suspended from the ceiling, transparent pillars accessorized with sequins, white blooms and lush foliage, the mandap was a perfect expression of the couple’s modern sensibilities. Add to that, the baraat punctuated with high-octane dhol beats ensured the groom made a stylish entry while a live band with shehnai and tabla players kept the guests engaged.

Reception
Exuding an old Hollywood vibe the Reception was a glitzy one. Lit up by multiple chandeliers, tea light candles and adorned with delicate white roses, this event had everyone dazzled with its elegance. As the guests feasted on a sumptuous dinner, they were treated to special performances and heartfelt toasts.
