Wedding Planning
On the planning front, Ruchi left no stone unturned and spent a lot of time online, curating ideas for her nuptials. She shares, “The WeddingSutra app is quite useful and has tons of inspirational ideas related to decor and clothes that we constantly referred to. Additionally, my mom, mother-in-law, Mridul, and a few friends also helped me as we browsed Instagram and created several Pinterest boards for the big day.” Ensuring that the essence of her nuptials was captured in expressive and stunning shots, Movie’ing Moments displayed their superior skill behind the lens.

With the vision of having subtle and natural makeup looks, she roped in makeup artist Maitreyi and Jheel Mehta along with hairstylists Anisha Nagpal and Lata Mehta to work their magic on her.

Wedding Functions

Welcome Party
The welcome party was a breezy beachside affair, held in Goa, where Ruchi chose to wear a pristine white full-sleeved gown as she frolicked in the golden sands with her to-be-husband. With her hair tousled in a half updo, and natural makeup on her radiant face, she glowed under a canopy of white lanterns.

Mehndi
Keeping it light and cheery for the mehndi, Ruchi opted for a white lehenga with colorful floral embroidery details on the skirt. Topping off this laid-back yet elegant look, was a statement maang tikka and heavy danglers with emerald drop earrings designed by her, and her father who is a jewelry designer.

Sangeet
Boosting the glamour quotient, the bride chose a bright red creation for the Sangeet that channeled her inner diva. With its extravagant train and ruffled sleeve, this gown made her stand out amongst the crowd as she grooved to her favorite tracks. Jewelry was kept to a minimum for this look with diamond-encrusted bangles adorning her wrists.

Wedding
For her big day, Ruchi stayed true to tradition and flaunted her desi style with a glorious white Sabyasachi Mukherjee lehenga with floral motifs in pink and blue adding a pop of color to her look. Her jewelry, designed by her talented father, matched her attire perfectly with its green dropstones and intricate kundan design. Warm earth-toned lip color and heavily kohled eyes completed her bridal look.
