As an aesthete, Saloni wanted her wedding ensembles to reflect the many facets of her personality. For her big day, she showcased her excellent taste and her fun personality in a delightful range of bridal wear. Here, she shares some of her favorite looks from the wedding at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai.

How they met
Saloni had known Rishabh for a long time but had lost touch with him since the past three years. Coincidentally, when her parents organized for them to meet, she willingly agreed to give it a go. And thank God for that! The two got along like a house on fire! They discovered they shared a birthday amongst many other similarities and it took only two weeks for these lovebirds to decide to feather their nest.

And it was always going to be a glamorous wedding.

Mehndi
At her mehndi, Saloni donned a beautiful floor length anarkali by none other than Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Creating a perfect balance with its glorious mirror-work embellishments, Saloni kept her jewellery minimalistic – a statement maang tikka from Geet Jewels and subtle makeup that accentuated her features.

Sangeet
A fan of understated elegance and design, Saloni had to be prodded by her family to wear a heavily embellished outfit to at least one of her wedding functions. She decided to work with the master – Manish Malhotra – who she put her head together with and traded ideas and perspectives. The result? A superb mirror work lehenga! A dramatic outfit needs great makeup and celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni accentuated Saloni’s doe-shaped eyes with matching blue smoky eyeshadow and an airbrushed base that looked glamorous and powerful.

Wedding
Saloni had fallen in love with a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga on the Fashion Week runways. The only problem? It was ivory and gold – an offbeat choice for an Indian wedding and she had some work convincing her parents about it. Still, when they eventually agreed, they realized Saloni’s style quotient was sky high and they even complimented her for what was a bold (and beautiful) choice.

Saloni’s bold taste meant that she wanted bespoke rather than mainstream jewellery designs and Jaipur-based Achal Jewels was the obvious choice as they help in customizing and personalizing bridal jewellery in the most elegant fashion.

Reception
Finally, it was time to shake a leg, let their hair down and dance into the wee hours of the morning. Saloni chose a Manish Malhotra lehenga in purple with gorgeous rose gold zari work, heirloom jewellery and a minimalist visage to bring on the night in inimitable Saloni-style!
