When Triveni met Arun through common friends, their meeting was more to humor friends than anything else. But as luck would have it, one year later they decided to walk down the aisle. They quip: “We decided to enjoy our ‘average life’ together forever”. Both Assistant Vice Presidents in their respective companies, they wanted to be in control of the When, Where and How of their wedding, so they opted for an Arya Samaj wedding where any day or date is auspicious.

Hotel Alila, Bangalore was the venue for the wedding and reception, and Triveni chose a traditional and simple, but very elegant look.

Red Wedding Saree

Triveni wore a beautiful red saree by Namrata G and Yogesh, who retail at Lavelle Road in Bangalore. Says Triveni: “I was introduced to the designers by my sister. Red marks auspicious beginnings. I wanted my dress to be rich in tradition but I wanted to be able to hold my own in it. I picked a red saree from another store in Devath Plaza and gave it to the designers for finishing and designing the blouse. They came up with amazing traditional gold embroidery on front of the neck and tassels at the back making it perfect. I combined it with a traditional wedding red dupatta with intricate gold border that my mother had got done for the occasion.”

Indo-Western fusion dress for Reception

Triveni says, “Again, it was a Namrata G and Yogesh creation. Since it was a cocktail party, I wanted the dress to be an Indo-Western fusion. So we decided on a very beautiful aqua color dress with a long skirt having a short slit on one side and the corset-backless style with transparent material and crystal designs. To give it a fusion feel, it had a stole attached to it. The dress was studded with crystals – so the overall look was subtle and shimmery.”

Triveni opted to keep the make-up as natural as possible for both the occasions but with little more colors for the evening look.
