Here is a list of of honeymoon destinations for your season of choice

If you’re planning your honeymoon, remember, the right destination at the wrong time of year can turn a dream into a disaster. Here’s a handy honeymoon planning list of romantic destinations and their perfect seasons for love.

November – Feb: Winter
Oman
Crisp air, skies full of stars, serene beaches, golden deserts, lush gardens, the magnificent Omani mountain ranges – all make Oman an exotic honeymoon getaway. Only a short flight away from India, it is easily accessible after a long wedding. While the summers can be scorching, the winter is perfect weather to enjoy the magic of the Sultanate’s old world charm and modern infrastructure.

Boracay
The coast of Boracay features some of the best beaches on the planet; a deep, quiet serenity coupled with luxuriously appointed accommodation. Egypt
Egypt is a stimulating, unique destination for a honeymoon. New Zealand

With perhaps the world’s most stunning landscape, New Zealand is awe-inspiring; incredible mountains, wonderful vineyards, crystal clear water, other-worldly natural beauty and a lot of adventure! Be it skydiving, bungee jumping or water sports. Bursting with colour and flavour in summer, temperatures hover between a balmy 24 degrees and a brisk 12 degrees celsius. Winters can be overwhelmingly cold.

March – June: Spring / Summer
Spain
Exotic, diverse, vibrant España is a glorious choice for a spring-fling or a summer romance aka your honeymoon. A laid back, late night culture, food, music, architecture, gorgeous landscapes and warm people – the months of April, May and June with average temperatures of 24 degrees Celsius, bring a party atmosphere across the country as the nation comes alive in a kaleidoscope of colours. Spain is also a great destination in the winter months – October to January with warmer climates compared to other European countries, in these months you can go skiing down the pistes with the warm rays of the sun on your face as you look out over the scenic beauty of the lush landscapes that surround you.

France
Fly straight to the City of Love right after your wedding. Why wouldn’t you? A historic city filled with old-world charm, elegant style and culture, music and magic in the streets. Be a little different and add the French Riviera to your itinerary; sit back and enjoy the eclectic summer menus. France is fabulous in the months of May and June when temperatures swing between 22 and 12 degrees Celsius.

Hawaii
One of the world’s favourite honeymoon destinations is Hawaii! Made up of 8 main islands – Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and the Big Island of Hawaii, each of which offer unique and distinct experiences, Hawaii allows you to laze on the beach, get lost in the tranquility of the ocean and pamper yourself silly. November is wet, while the peak tourist season can bring hordes, Hawaii is know to be most isolated population center on the face of the earth. The best time to visit is in June, with an average temperature of 32 degrees and a lot of peace and quiet.

July – October: Autumn
Scotland
Scotland’s stunning scenery, old-fashioned hospitality and world-class accommodation featuring everything from luxury hotels to intimate lodges and remote guest houses, make it a honeymoon destination with immense potential. If you’re looking to trek in old forests by day and party in a chic city by night, it is possible only in Scotland. One of the best ways to travel is to rent a car and start exploring with your own itinerary into the heart of the Highlands. July is spectacular, autumn hues and mild weather.

Malaysia
Malaysia’s diversity make it a great honeymoon option. Vibrant cities make for a great pit stop while its quiet, secluded towns provide an exotic look into Malaysian life. Kuala Lumpur, the capital, is perfect for days of sightseeing, shopping and nightlife. When you want to relax and unwind in a luxury resort, head down to one of our favourite secluded spots, Kota Kinabalu. July through to September is the best time to honeymoon in Malaysia.

Italy
Italy, ti amo! There’s a reason Italy is one of the most honeymooned in destinations. To start with, it’s packed with irresistible choices – the Tuscan countryside, historical Rome, gold-dappled Florence, breath-taking Amalfi … Imagine a gondolier coasting the canals in Venice, while you canoodle in the back or splash in the turquoise waters of Sardinia, lie on the white sand beaches of Costa Smeralda or bathe in the hot springs of Capri! Thailand is as close to perfect a honeymoon destination as it gets. Newly weds can relax on the beaches, go island hopping, visit night markets and all day spas, rent a yacht, go club hopping or take a cooking course!

Maldives
There are still beaches in the Maldives that have never been set foot upon. Experience all the privacy and luxury of your own, personal island when you lie on the soft white sand beaches, the azure water tickling your toes… but with access to the finest resorts and accommodation. Maldives is a bustle-detox but you can still indulge in some thrilling water sports and then get a couples’ massage at an exotic spa.

Bali
