Hetvi, Azva, Taj Santacruz, Mumbai
WeddingSutra Favorites give Hetvi a bridal makeover that will have you wishing for a wedding.
WeddingSutra’s most popular bridal initiative, WeddingSutra On Location, was held at the sprawling Azva Store at Taj Santacruz. In the second of this three-part series, bride-to-be Hetvi Mehta embraces bridal style, and with the help of WeddingSutra Favorites conjures up an arresting look.
In awe of Azva’s stunning designs, Hetvi crafted her look around some of the creations she liked best. Picking a saree by the crown prince of couture himself, Sabyasachi, she accessorized with fine gold jewellery. The magic wrought by the pairing inspired makeup up artist Kumar Iyer to imagine a look that was in effect, the eternal bride with a little help from Lakmé Absolute. Laksh Singh stepped in to style her hair with a contemporary vibe that brought balance to the ensemble. The Photo Lab worked silently behind the scenes, ensuring they captured all the excitement in candid frames.
When Hetvi chose a mustard saree by Sabyasachi from multi-designer store Aza Fashions in Bandra, she knew she will be turning into a princess bride. Beaming, she said, “The beautifully embroidered saree looked like royalty in the truest sense!“
She spent no time in selecting beautiful baubles from Azva; the skillfully crafted necklace was rendered in a honeycomb pattern created out of seven rows, symbolic of the seven vows of marriage. Her statement ring resonated with its seven kundan stones incorporated in its design. Kadas and jhumkas from the same collection completed her look. Picking out her favorite pieces she said, “The gold choker I wore was beautiful and the jhumkas looked absolutely amazing.”
Kumar Iyer intuited Hetvi’s taste in make up and conjured a look that enhanced her features and the ensemble she wore. Laksh Singh then worked on styling her hair to bring contemporary balance to her traditional attire. Hetvi’s naturally beautiful locks were straightened and all the strays smoothened to achieve a glossy, stylish look. “The makeup and hair seemed so effortless and complemented the outfit wonderfully. The deep smoky eyes were the perfect match to the sleek hairdo,” says Hetvi.
Speaking with Hetvi, we realized this was her first ever photoshoot. She credits her practiced ease however to the skills of the warm ambience and the Photo Lab team, “Despite never having been part of a photoshoot, I’m so at ease thanks to the Photo Lab who made the day so fun it didn’t feel like a shoot! And the experience of shooting with WeddingSutra was out of this world. I don’t think another team would have made us feel so welcome. All the arrangements right from the makeup and hair to the outfits were just perfect!”
Hetvi Mehta’s Look
Kumar Iyer went minimalist and gave Hetvi a look that let her beautiful complexion shine. He began by applying the Lakmé Absolute Skin Natural Mousse – Hydrating in Ivory Cream to create a smooth base and set the product with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Wet and Dry Compact. Next, he outlined her eyes using the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate and coated her lashes with the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Volume Mascara to add to the intensity. He brushed her cheeks with the Lakmé Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos in Coral Blush. The muted tone added a hint of color and blended in effortlessly for a luminous finish. With the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout – Crème in Peach Please Hetvi was ready to pose for the camera.
