How They Met
Anjali shares, “Dixit and I met during our MBA days at SIBM Pune. We were both a part of an extra-curricular council where eventually our friendship turned into love and here we are today – married!”

Wedding Planning
The couple shares, “Spanning two days, we had four events – Mehendi, Engagement Sangeet, Haldi and Wedding. We wanted our event themes to be personal and a reflection of our personalities and not something that is simply trending. The planning team, thankfully, understood exactly what we were looking for! The Plush Weddings team is the sweetest to work with. We simply clicked – our styles, and our requirements and they helped immensely to bring our vision to life. They helped us connect with vendors, and all the liaisons before, during and even after the event!”

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
The couple shares, “Since this was our first event, we wanted it to be fun and very welcoming. What better than to do that with colours? We had a cute nostalgia counter displaying childhood pictures of both of us along with elements such as Phantom cigarettes, marbles, lattoo and more. Across the venues, one could also find pictures of us over the years together. The idea was to give our guests a little insight into our journey so far while we start another.”

Sangeet
Anjali shares, “For engagement and sangeet, we were always sure we wanted something glam, sparkly, starry – and it was all that and more! We really wanted a dreamy arched entryway and our decor team delivered it very well. Crystal stage backdrop, a fairy light-lit tree, monotones with white blooms, mirror canopies – the decor had it all.”

Haldi
Anjali shares, “For haldi, we wanted something traditional yet different, yellow but not too yellow. This theme was a perfect blend with its blue hues. We gave it a Jaipur blue pottery vibe – Blue pottery consoles, block-printed linen etc.
We also had a Tota Pandit to add an element activity for our guests. The entry was very beautiful with us entering an arched bridge across the venue with colourful shots flanking our entry.”

Wedding
The couple shares, “We wanted the wedding decor to be a classic, regal vibe with a colour combination of pink and white complementing both our wedding outfits. Lots of fresh flowers, huge urlis with rajnigandhas, elaborate candle decor, flower rangoli, and multiple photo op spots were curated. The fragrance of fresh flowers emanated across the venue. The varmala atop the amphitheater was beautiful while the thikri work stage was the highlight of the ceremony.”

Advice For Couples
The couple shares, “Enjoy the process! Yes, it can get stressful sometimes, but enjoy the process – you would miss it once it is over. Plan things that are a reflection of your personality, and not a trend or something that someone expects you to.
During the events, pause and take it all in. It is your day – all your loved ones are here celebrating you, it is your moment. Try not to get lost in the rush and absorb everything around you.”
