How They Met
The bride shares, “We met through mutual friends while we were at University. He bought me a coffee, and I returned the favor a few weeks later, which was the start of a lifelong friendship that soon transformed into love!”

The Proposal
Looking back upon her dreamy proposal, the bride shares, “Our three year anniversary was a huge milestone for me, and he knew how much it meant to me. He told me he was planning a surprise anniversary weekend for us to go where we first met and went on a date together. The next day, when I thought we were going for breakfast close-by, I ended up blindfolded in the car and driven to the airport to catch a flight to Melbourne (from Sydney). Before I knew it, I knew I was in the lobby of my favorite hotel in Melbourne. After a romantic dinner, we returned to our room to find it covered with rose petals, candles and photos of us. There was a huge box in the middle of the room, which opened to release a heart-shaped balloon with the words ‘Will you marry me?’! Overwhelmed with emotion, I turned to find him on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand, and needless to say, I replied with a resounding “Yes!”

Wedding Planning
The couple hosted their intimate pre-wedding festivities at home, and their reception at Hyatt Regency Sydney. For their wedding, they chose the picturesque castle-like charm of Curzon Hall. A vast team of decorators were hired to deck their functions, while the team of KS Creative Photography captured their moments.

Wedding Functions
Mehendi
An intimate home-held Mehendi soiree kicked off the wedding festivities. Charming DIY décor with drapes, ornamental cushions, tasseled hangings and garlands in red, lit up the elegant white interiors. The groom looked splendid in a white and blue Bandi jacket and kurta set from Manyavar, while the bride complemented him in an icy blue Sabyasachi saree with a pale gold border.

Haldi
The Haldi ritual was held two days later at the bride’s home. Swapping out the usual citrus hues and marigold décor, the bride stunned her guests with a dainty tasseled décor in baby pink that included a pretty canopy under which she was sat for the ceremony. She donned a gorgeous pink lehenga by Anita Dongre for the occasion where she was doused with turmeric paste by her loved ones. The guests all followed a dress code of white and yellow for the event.
