How they met
When it comes to finding your soulmate, timing is everything. Niharika and Manas were connected through acquaintances and eventually met in college, but despite being in the same class for 3 years they never spoke a word with each other. It wasn’t until they went to different ones that their friendship started to bloom, and once it did there was no looking back. Thus began their journey of a decade as they went from strangers to best friends, lovers, and finally life partners.
The couple chose the intimate venue of Tropical Retreat Luxury Spa and Resort in Igatpuri for their wedding getaway and enlisted a talented team of vendors to pull off their celebrations while ensuring Covid safety protocols. Entrusted to planning the wedding, Mokshiva Entertainment understood their needs and vision and delivered not just in their professional capacity but also gave them some much-needed mental support in the pandemic environment.
The team of Whatknot captured the essence of fun and festive chaos that ensued in their intimate Maharashtrian wedding, beautifully highlighting the family dynamics and bonds between their couple and their loved ones. From small functions like Haldi to the grandeur of Sangeet and Wedding, every planned and candid moment was preserved in the most memorable way.
Imagined with the vibrant decor of drapes and marigold blooms in a bright yellow palette, the poolside haldi was a sunkissed affair full of lively moments of family love. The bride and groom wore shades of yellow for the ceremony and sat in massive urlis as their loved ones gathered around them, dousing them in turmeric paste and water.
The sunny exuberance of the Haldi function was amped up for the poolside mehndi with puffs of colorful smoke to welcome the dancing couple as they entered with their friends and family. The combination of beaming yellows with blue Rajasthani prints and textures conjured the perfect setting for a morning of music and dancing. The bride looked radiant in a floral pink lehenga as she twirled happily, while the groom’s intricately patterned muted grey kurta set perfectly complemented her look for the occasion.
The festivities perked up with an intimate yet boisterous Sangeet night by the pool, as everyone let their hair down for a night of limitless fun and dancing. The minimalistic decor of black and gold perfectly set a relaxed, elegant tone, allowing the energy of the evening to rule the occasion. Strings of lounge lights hung overhead elevated the feel of dancing under the stars, as the couple and their loved ones took the stage to display their skills. The music and merriment continued into the night with an after-party.
The beauty of Niharika and Manas’s wedding traditions was portrayed beautifully against the tranquil backdrop of pastel flowers. From the stunning floral entrance to the phoolon ki chadar and mandap, everything was decked in bright summer blooms and cascading crystals for a timeless look. Dressed in traditional Maharashtrian wedding attire, the couple exuded happiness as they tied the knot amidst peals of laughter and joyous family customs.
