Nikhita and Chirag’s journey has been nine years in the making and their dreams finally came true with a heartwarming wedding celebration. Having known each other since high school, this couple has seen it all, from impulsive fights to a distance of over thousand miles wedged between them. But nothing could get better than the commitment they had for each other. This duo sealed the deal in a cozy wedding ceremony at Eros Hotel, New Delhi amidst their loved ones.

How They Met
Nikhita shares, “Chirag and I met twelve years ago and dated for nine years. In my gut, I always knew that’ll end up with him as his goofy smile always made me weak in the knees. And look where we are now!”

The Proposal
“They say matches are made in heaven, but I disagree. We’ve been through a lot from sporadic fights to miscommunication but our commitment to each other has always kept us together. The most difficult phase for our relationship was when Chirag moved to Australia for higher studies, For those two years, we yearned for each other’s company, and as soon as he returned home, he asked me to be his better half and the ‘yes’ just came naturally to me.”, recalls Nikhita.

Wedding Venue
The duo tied the knot in a charming ceremony at The Eros Hotel, New Delhi, a five-star hotel which is known for its luxurious interiors, also, a favorite amongst couples looking to tie the knot with an impressive celebration. Equipped with multiple party areas to cater for every function, this hotel’s grand ballroom and poolside can accommodate up to 800 people. On their big day, the couple had plenty of fun lounging around the poolside and basking in the sun.

Wedding Planning
With the spacious halls of The Eros Hotel serving as a backdrop, the wedding looked splendidly elegant. The bride’s makeup was done flawlessly by WeddingSutra Favorite – Pooja Khurana Makeovers who gave her an all-natural makeup look. Photographers Ishwar Prasad and Anshum Badoni captured the tender candid moments that the young couple shared with each other. Being a successful professional photographer herself and a proud owner of Nikhita Kotru Photography, the bride ensured that each picture reflected the playful love that she and Chirag have been blessed with.

Weddings Functions

Mehndi
A simple and breezy affair, the Mehndi was filled with laughter and friendly banter for Nikhita and Chirag. The decor had a distinct floral theme enriched with quirky elements that highlighted the occasion.

The bride twirled happily as she posed for the camera in her funky digital-printed skirt which caught everyone’s attention. She ensured she wasn’t heavily made-up, and also accessorized her look with simple but elegant jewelry the highlight being her elaborate peacock pendant, while she carried all her essentials in a mirrored potli. Chirag also chose to keep it light in an off-white kurta which he paired with an embroidered scarf.

Wedding
With white and gold being the theme for the decor, the duo’s mandap was replete with garlands of white flowers that vividly contrasted against the red rose petals that were showered on them. Nikhita opted for an embroidered baby pink lehenga with accents of periwinkle blue that she accessorized with a statement-making nath, maang tikka and gold kalire.
