If the average roster of events at a wedding these days has made you believe you need at least 6 separate functions to have fun – check out Sneha and Esharnan’s celebrations that rocked the house with just two.

The bride shares with us the details of their stunning proposal and all the wonder of their big day.

The Proposal
“Eesharnan’s proposal was truly magical. He planned a surprise trip to New Zealand without giving me the slightest clue. Once we got there, we were whisked away on a private helicopter to a secluded mountain. The location, the sights… they were spellbinding and right there, he popped the question! There is no way any girl could have ever said no! While we were enjoying the special moment, our lovely pilot set up a picnic with some delicious treats for us. It was the most perfect day.”

Wedding Venue
“I had always dreamed of an outdoor wedding so we decided to host our big day at Templetree Leisure. It is an idyllic property surrounded by lush greens and serenity. It perfectly blends modern comforts and technology within a rustic setting. Most importantly, it has an eco-friendly philosophy that is rendered in their workings making this venue a little more special.”

Wedding Functions

Sangeet
“Our sangeet was going to be a spirited affair and we wanted the decor to add to the lively mood. We picked a mela (carnival) theme that extended beyond the setup. Every color in the spectrum was represented! The backdrop of our stage made use of kitschy umbrellas with traditional patterns and strings of lights were used against sheer drapes to create some extra magic.

We started off the evening with a flower petal holi while a group of dhol players filled the air with catchy beats. We had food carts serving kulfi, samosas and other light snacks. Besides the dance performances, we had also planned a few other activities such as giant Jenga, hopscotch and a ring toss.”

Wedding
“Our wedding had a more traditional approach and followed all customs and rituals. The decor was rooted in Indian aesthetics; golden relief pillars, large lamps, golden bells and lots of flowers, both, in the form of arrangements as wells as petal rangoli all came together to create our gorgeous wedding setup.

The day was filled with cheer and all our guests enjoyed every minute of the festivities.”

Advice To Couples
If you are planning an outdoor event, always ensure you have a backup plan in case the weather turns bad. Delegate tasks to friends and family so you can have fun on the day. My lovely sisters, cousins and parents ensured the events ran smoothly so we could enjoy the day and be stress-free.
