How They Met
Tanvi shares, “Krishnan and I met through a mutual friend at a party 3 years ago and felt an instant connection. We developed a strong friendship that organically transformed into love with time. Since Krishnan is from Kerala and I am from Chandigarh, it almost felt like we were living our version of the movie ‘2 States’, embracing each other’s cultures as our bond grew deeper. We took the traditional route of telling the families and had the Roka while Krishnan was in India visiting his family, and I was in the US at the time. However, Krishnan still wanted to make a grand proposal and popped the question 3 months later during sunset at a boat party that he planned with our closest friends, making the moment as special as could be!”

Mehndi
Tanvi shares, “The Mehndi ceremony was the most special function for me as it combined our personalities, tastes and cultures beautifully and was full of emotional touches. I wore an outfit picked out by my parents, while the function decor was planned around Krishan and my love for Football, especially Manchester United. Banana leaves, coconuts, South Indian delicacies and local flowers were included to bring in his heritage, while the bar cocktails were named around our football team. Our cultures beautifully came together in a celebration of music, food and dance, which was followed by a sundowner Engagement.”

Wedding
The idyllic farmhouse Wedding saw breathtaking floral decor for the daytime ceremony. Tanvi shares, “Devika and her team outdid themselves by transforming the farmhouse into an oasis of colors, love and tranquility by working with local craftsmen and NGOs in the area. We tied the knot in a Sikh wedding ceremony in the morning and also honored his South Indian culture by performing the Sindoor and Mangalsutra ceremony in a separate area. Krishnan and I wore coordinated outfits of blush pink to match the garden-themed decor of the occasion. Unplugged Project added a lively vibe with their tunes and Krishnan was even up on the stage dancing and singing at one point. The day was absolutely unforgettable”.
