Harsh Vardhan and Neerja, Europe
From snow-clad peaks to spicy Indian food in Amsterdam, Neerja and Harsh's European honeymoon was planned incorporating tips by friendly locals.
They enjoyed the highs of romance on the Eiffel Tower in Paris and towering peaks in Switzerland. Here, Harsh shares details about their memorable two-week European honeymoon.
Harsh and Neerja, who are based in Gurgaon, tied the knot on March 4 this year in Greater Noida. They spend two weeks on a dreamy honeymoon across Europe where romance and magical locations awaited them. Here, Harsh shares some of their experiences exploring the beautiful continent.
“Europe is a breath-taking destination and visiting the magnificent museums, rich galleries, operas and Restaurante de Puertas (underground restaurants) make for an amazing experience. It does not matter what your taste is, you can experience it all in Europe and that’s what inspired us to explore this part of the world.”
“Neerja always wanted to visit European countries so we finally shortlisted England, The Netherlands, France and Switzerland for our honeymoon. We also wanted to soak up the unique vibe of every city we decided to visit such as London, Darkfort, Amsterdam, Paris, Interlaken, Lucene and Zurich. We enjoyed each city and made spontaneous plans after getting locals to advise us about the most interesting places in these places.”
“In London, we stayed at IBS Novotel and visited Kensington Gardens, the London Eye, Madame Tussauds Museum, as well as the iconic London Bridge. We also took a cruise in Amsterdam, visited the Ice bar of Switzerland’s Mt Jungfrau and Mt. Titlis, as well as the Eiffel Tower and Disneyland in Paris.”

“Our best meal was at the Noor Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. We relished familiar treats like ‘aloo jeera’, lentils, rice, ‘chapatis’ and tea after a tiring day.”
Most Romantic Moment
“Our most romantic moment was when we were at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Our adventure-filled visit to Mt Titlis was also another romantic experience of the trip.”
“The green landscapes, snow-covered mountains and glaciers of Switzerland are few highlights one must definitely experience if they are planning a Europe honeymoon!”
Tips For Honeymooners
“Make your own travel itinerary. It helps you spend quality time in places rather than being hurried along with the crowd.”
