Here, bride Jinal shares some highlights of the celebrations.
How They Met
The bride shares, “Shaishav is my sister’s friend and I’ve known him for a few years. I think the defining moment of our relationship was when we decided to give each other a chance and met up a few times. Somehow, we both instinctively had strong feelings for each other. There’s been no looking back since then, and our love has kept growing stronger. Both of us felt a formal proposal wasn’t required since we knew we were in this together for the long haul.”
Spread out across Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the events were hosted at scenic locations in the city that reflected the essence of Gujarati culture. From the breathtaking lakeside Suryam Repose for the mehndi to the sprawling Green Andaaz – Green Leaves Management for the wedding, each function was held in a different venue.
With a helping hand from some of the most popular names in the industry, Jinal and Shaishav’s dream wedding came to life. Planned by Prasang Events, the festivities spanning two weeks was executed with expertise and professionalism. Jinal shares, “Prasang Events understood our brief completely and went the extra mile to make sure our dream wedding came true. Each function was carefully planned and the vibrant decor was breathtaking. Working with them was a rewarding experience.” Ensuring that not a single precious moment escaped his lens was Priyam Parikh who’s dedication impressed the happy couple. Jinal adds, “ Priyam Parikh and his team were amazing and captured some truly extraordinary moments for us.” Adding to the team were Bollywood’s favorite musical duo Sachin -Jigar who kept the audience enthralled. Entertainers Rujul Vora, Dharini Thakkar, Mr. Probeat and Bollyjammers also kept the spirits up with their tunes. Makeup artists Ulupi Parikh and Sajni highlighted Jinal’s best features to make her look fabulous in each shot and function.
With authentic rural decor elements, this function centered around the famous Gujarati dance form called garba. Colorful mirrors, parasols, and marigolds garlands created the perfect setting for people to show off their best moves. Traditional music by the popular Cept University Garba band, and witty anchor Krina Shah kept everyone entertained. Serving mouthwatering delicacies, caterers Foodtrail had everyone reaching out for second helpings. Dressed in a yellow mirror work lehenga, Jinal glowed as she twirled with Shaishav who opted for a light peach kurta.
With a ‘Circle of Love’ theme, this lively event had 150 drums arranged to entertain the guests over three sessions. With Rujul Vora at the forefront of the drum circle and Vyoma Parihar as the acting host, this function was high on energy and rhythm. The pastel peach and baby blue decor palette made for a picture-perfect setting.
A glitzy and musical affair that gave everyone unforgettable memories, the sangeet had Bollywood duo Sachin – Jigar mesmerizing the audience with their popular tracks. Illuminating decor with intricate motifs and LED lights lit up the venue in a striking way. A multi-cuisine spread delighted everyone with its wide range of treats. The event was hosted by Pamela Singh Bhutoria and Nitish Kamdar who regaled the gathering with their talent.
Held away from the hustling cityscape at the scenic lakeside of Suryam Repose, the mehndi was a vibrant affair with multi-hued canopies and bright blooms decorating the venue. It was also high on music and entertainment with performances by stellar musicians who had everyone on the dancefloor. Host Pritee Kathpal also contributed to keeping spirits high with her expert anchoring skills. For this evening function, Jinal wore a purple-pink lehenga, while Shaishav donned a quirky blue kurta.
With the theme of ‘phoolon ki Holi’ (floral Holi), soft rose petals and organic colors were showered and smeared on the couple. Magical decor in the form of flowery arches, tunnels and unique mesh floral birds complemented the theme. DJ Maultek and Percussion by Mr. Probeat dropped hit tracks that had everyone hitting on the dancefloor. Anchor Amrita Acharya livened up the proceedings and made sure no one felt left out.
Keeping the couple’s tastes in mind, a luxurious and traditional decor setup was conceptualized by Abhinav Bhagat. “For the big day, we wanted very traditional decor and saw our vision come true with gorgeous elements like a mirrored dome mandap, chandeliers, and hand paintings. The white and pink floral arrangements were a feast for the eyes and tastefully incorporated within the decor. Everything felt customized for us which made our wedding truly unique.” For their pheras, the couple booked Dharini Thakkar and her team to croon divine chants that added a special touch to the proceedings.
Packed with glamor, the reception was an elaborate and elegant affair with a white and royal decor theme. Envisioned down to the minutest detail by the couple, it was a perfect ending for the beautiful 14-day celebrations.
Advice For Couples
Jinal shares, “Start planning your wedding celebrations early on as this will give you enough clarity to choose wisely and execute everything flawlessly. Shaishav and I took up the planning task as a team and I don’t think we would’ve been able to achieve this feat without leaning on each other.”
