Exuding traditional grandeur and brimming with blooms, Yesha Shah and Viral Bhadra’s wedding was a desi fairytale. Ensuring that the couple’s dream came to life was WeddingSutra Favorite – DS Wedding and Events who carefully orchestrated every aspect of the wedding.
How They Met
Yesha shares, “The first time we met was at a wedding and we instantly clicked. Ever since then, we’ve been inseparable as our friendship slowly transitioned into love.”
Wedding Planning
For their wedding, the duo was keen on going grand and ensured that everything fit perfectly into their larger-than-life vision. Yesha shares, “Our guest list was a long one and we wanted to ensure that every guest enjoyed the best of hospitality. Once we chose the venue, we decided to get DS Wedding and Events as our planners. They were incredibly detailed in their work and kept up with every one of our requests. Their hard work, dedication and commitment to our vision is definitely seen in the results as they orchestrated the wedding of our dreams.”
Wedding Functions
Sangeet and Cocktail
Yesha shares, “The sangeet and cocktail was everything grand! We had a Guinness World Record holder aerial artist perform which left the guests awestruck. Plus, our loved ones executed some really graceful moves. In the after party, Gurdeep Mehendi didn’t cut back on the energy and had everyone dancing till the wee hours of the morning.”
Mata ki Chowki
The Mata ki Chowki was hosted indoors with minimalistic decor. A foliage-filled backdrop fringed with blooms and an LED signage made for the perfect photo-op.
Haldi and Mehndi
Next in line was the haldi and mehndi that brimmed with hues and followed a carnival theme. Yesha shares, “The day started with a mehndi event under the sunshine. The decor had a distinctly boho-rustic theme with lots of colours added via blooms. Floral arches and a vast dance floor were also a part of the decor. We hosted the haldi in the evening in the same setup with games and surprise performances from our families.”
Wedding
Yesha shares, “The spiritual vibes of Banaras have always been close to our hearts. Hence our wedding theme was inspired by the Banaras Ghats. The ‘Ganga Aarti’ was the highlight of the wedding along with carefully curated performances by professional dancers. A ceiling suspended with floral garlands and an ivory backdrop gave the mandap a striking appearance. As I walked down the aisle dancers heralded my entry and after the varmala cold pyros were lit up around us!”
Advice For Couples
Yesha shares, “My biggest advice would be to have patience. Enjoy the process, have faith in the ability of your vendors and watch as magic happens.”
