Makeup artist Jenika Tilwani’s wedding in UAE to Dubai-based businessman Sunny Sawlani was a sumptuous blend of royal decor, high-octane entertainment and warm family moments, planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Events by Saniya. Watch their revelries unfold below.

Wedding Planning
The couple and their families envisioned an extravagant wedding at InterContinental Fujairah Resort to celebrate their Sindhi traditions and heritage. They entrusted Events by Saniya to orchestrate the same who handled the planning and execution of every last detail to precise perfection. They share, “A powerhouse of energy that took on everything from decoration and entertainment to hospitality, logistics and more, they have rewritten the rules for event management and set a bar high for their competitors. Their decoration for every event theme was flawless, and it reflected the level of detail and personal attention they brought to everything. They were very responsive throughout the entire planning process and kept us updated on everything while being extremely accommodating to all our needs. Saniya and her team made the wedding spectacular with their creative ideas and made the planning process great fun. We could trust her to interact with our VIP guests, our relatives and the vendors with utmost professionalism.”

All of their functions were accented with top-notch entertainment, with a repertoire of incredible performers, emcees and DJs which included the likes of Sindhi singer Mohit Lalwani, Mickey Singh, Guru Randhawa and more. One of the most memorable performances for the couple and their guests were by Rooh Band for the carnival function. They share, “Anupam Bhai of Rooh band is a terrific human being and an amazing entertainer. The moments that he and his band created for us would be cherished forever. Their song selection suits all tastes and they also accepted special requests from the guests that made everyone feel really special. While all our events were grand, he and his team made the carnival truly unforgettable.”

Wedding Function
Janoi
Starting the celebration with an intimate family gathering before other guests arrived, the Janoi function saw plush decor inspired by the vibrant plumage and hues of peacocks. Rich floral arrangements and upholstery in tones of purple offset the green walls, while elements of gold, peacock feathers, and installations completed the event. Professional dancers added more splendor to the occasion.

Welcome Dinner
The Welcome dinner kicked off the grand festivities for the guests in style. The edgy purple-hued decor decking the entryway exuded a futuristic aura with geometric designs, white props and a cascading canopy accented with elegant floral arrangements which flowed into the ballroom. Dressed in shades of pink, the couple made a dazzling entry for the night which went on to see professional dance performances, rousing tunes by singer Mohit Lalwani and more.

Carnival
The next day began with a high-energy mehndi fete that was set with the theme of ‘Pop art meets carnival’ for a day of fun and enjoyment. Bright purple, pink and orange drapes made up the shamiana for the occasion, converging on a canopy of rice lanterns. Comic strip art, pop-art-inspired vases, boards and other props infused the decor with quirky energy, complete with the eclectic beauty of bright dried ferns and flowers. The couple entered with an entourage of professional artists that left everyone awestruck, while Rooh Band wowed the guests with their rousing routines and had everyone dancing to their heart’s content.

Sangeet
The evening was glitz galore with a fabulous Sangeet soiree that enraptured the guests with spectacular decor and high-octane festivities. Set to the theme of ‘Blooming lotus’, the space was decked from top to bottom in gilded lotus motifs, enhanced with romantic golden lights, elegant dinner settings and a magnificent stage. The couple matched the theme with their outfits as they arrived amidst pomp and splendor with dancers, smoke and cheers. The evening was filled with dances by the couple and their family, while singer Mickey Singh delighted the guests with his rocking performance.

Wedding
Imbued with the grandeur and opulence of Sindhi traditions, the wedding celebration was as royal as it gets. The day began with pre-wedding ceremonies, followed by an exuberant baraat as the groom’s enthusiastic friends and families accompanied him with non-stop dancing. Led by a palatial procession of lehenga-clad women carrying ‘mashaals’ and gold plaques, the bride made an entry fit for a queen. The couple exchanged varmalas on a hydraulic mandap to much awe and cheers.

Reception
The grand festivities came to a close with a spectacular Reception that saw decadent decor, riveting revelries and non-stop celebration. With a stunning theme of red roses, the evening was replete with magical performances by professional dancers, a celebrity performance by Guru Randhawa, a cake-cutting ceremony with a massive 5-tiered cake, emotional toasts, dancing and a lot more!
