A larger-than-life artistic pre-wedding carnival that featured art installations and creative nooks that inspired awe!

A celebration that celebrated artistic expression and various forms of art, this pre-wedding carnival was brimming with hues, quirky decor and most importantly, loads of artwork! Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddings by Bhawna Charan, the event flaunted out-of-the-box design elements that were interactive as well as picturesque.
Giving us some background on what went on behind the scenes, the client and their needs, Bhawna Charan shares, “The couple and their families shared a very nuanced taste. The family was Jain, one with a privately owned hill and the company Jain Irrigation. Overall, the entire family loved everything elegant and was extremely involved in every part of the process. Brainstorming with them was so much fun!
From the very beginning, the emphasis was placed on curating something different that hadn’t been witnessed before. As mutual admirers of fine art, we came up with the concept ‘Artistic Atelier’ – a paintbrush theme. Consequently, the carnival had artistic elements in every corner and multiple photo-op spots that resonated with the theme. In this project, we had the amazing opportunity to interact with many artists that made the experience even sweeter.”
Colour-mixing wooden palettes, swatch cards, old-school wooden paint brushes, colorful mini canvases and sticks of chalk were all part of the table decor. Accentuating these elements were rustic vases with drip art featuring blooms. Nooks with quirky vases and abstract canvases were also created where guests could click pictures or just take in the surroundings with awe! Taking the entire art-themed event a step further were colossal art installations featuring larger-than-life pencil stands adorned with blooms and a huge paintbrush with cascading blooms.
Bhawna shares, “Rather than take the conventional ‘festival’-like route that one usually sees at pre-wedding carnivals, we decided to take the path less beaten with a unique theme. Everything looked fantastic under the sunlight and we were happy to see the guests’ jaws drop the minute they entered the venue.”
