A magnificent wedding proposal aboard a 150-year old royal boat on the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola

They say there is nothing like falling in love with your best friend. Marking the momentous occasion of his proposal to Prabhleen Kaur Tiwana, Anvit Gupta’s, “Will you marry me?” aboard the 150-year-old Gangaur boat at Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur was captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Jayesh Photography. How they met
Best friends from second grade, Prabhleen and Anvit felt the sparks of love 5 years ago when they realized there was more to their friendship. They discovered their soulmates in each other and decided to seal that bond for life with marriage!
The Proposal
The bride shares, “On a recent trip to Udaipur, we were staying at the Taj Lake Palace, where Anvit had made a special reservation for the two of us for lunch. A private ride on the Royal Gangaur, a 150-year old boat belonging to the Royal family of Mewar, was planned to take me to the lunch set up. As I headed to it, I had no inkling of what was to come.”
She continues, “I arrived to see him standing on the boat waiting for me, and as I looked on I realized what was about to unfold. The entire moment felt straight out of a fairytale. Beautiful arrangements of candles and marigolds lit up the vibrant blue decor of the boat which was slowly rowing on the magnificent Lake Pichola. Beautiful Diwali lights shimmered in the waters and tunes of our favorite songs played in the background as he went down on one knee asking me to marry him. I uttered the word “yes!” in excitement and I knew this moment would be imprinted in my mind forever”.
