A classic in reel and real love stories, a proposal in front of the icon of ‘The City of Love’ is the epitome of romantic gestures. And Akshay’s proposal to Malika had a few sweet touches that turned their moment into a very beautiful dream come true. Smitten by her thoughtful, imaginative husband-to-be and thrilled at his extraordinary gesture, Malika tells us how it all unfolded.
“After a year of dating each other, Akshay took me to Paris for my birthday. He said he’d booked us a table at a nice restaurant that serves my favorite cuisine. On our arrival, the attendant escorted us to a private rooftop overlooking the Eiffel Tower. There, a violinist played Happy Birthday while a photographer took pictures of us.”
The memory still makes her choke up, as Malika continues, “The photographer got us in a pose where I couldn’t see Akshay. As I turned around for the next shot, there he was, down on one knee asking me to marry him. Tears of joy rolled down my eyes; this is the best birthday gift I could ever have asked for.”
