A theatrical Oscar-themed sangeet in Bangalore that wowed guests with its glitzy and bespoke decor

The sangeet ceremony holds a special place in Indian weddings. With unique themes and decor, fun dance-offs and an infectious atmosphere of merriment, sangeets are often the most extravagant functions. A spectacular Oscars-themed sangeet night, designed by WeddingSutra Favourite – Theme Weavers Designs, is the perfect example of the creativity and splendor that makes this function of an Indian wedding stand out.
In the words of Prerana Saxena, CEO, Theme Weavers Designs, “The night was conceptualized to be glittering, luxurious and larger than life, and the team sourced and created materials from across the country to create a bespoke experience, just as the family desired. Shimmering materials, crystals and acrylic were used to add a glamour quotient. We specifically used metal acrylic for this event which gives a shimmery and still a very classy look. The stage design was inspired by the Oscars, for which components were handmade in Delhi and transported to Bangalore. And of course, no stage is complete without the theatrical vibe of lights, which was designed by a specialist.”
In tones of crimson and gold, the decor was equal parts classy and quirky. Centerpieces of red roses and exotic ostrich feathers added to the mystique of the night, while 200 chairs were hand-decorated with pearls and feathers that transported you to the flapper era of the 1920s. The bar was accessorized with quirky quotes in gold, and every detail was created with minute scrutiny to create a night like no other. The night was a Hollywood wonderland, and guests had no idea what was in store for them as they walked on the red carpet.
