Art meets extravagance – this grandiose Reception decor will leave you awestruck!

After tying the knot with a traditional temple wedding, Chennai-based Software Engineers Priyanka and Ashwin envisioned the extraordinary for their Reception. Brimming with grandeur and larger than life, their celebration was designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Experience to inspire and awe, and the pictures below are proof! Hosting it at the magnificent property of ITC Grand Chola in Chennai, the couple envisaged their reception with a French palatial theme. With a stunning property at their disposal, they wanted to create a work of art with lots of fresh flowers, life-sized structures, fabrics, and hangings. With a clear grasp of the aesthetic they wanted, they also had specific requests for the type of flowers, a long walkway mirror aisle leading up to the main stage, and an entourage of Russian dancers from Russia to jazz up their entry. With a planning-and-prep period of 3 months and 48 whole hours of execution, the team of The Wedding Experience went above and beyond to ensure every detail was masterfully designed and executed.
The guests walked through a mesmerizing entry tunnel that opened up to a floral wonderland. Imagined with a massive 96 feet backdrop of flowers and chandeliers as well as a jaw-dropping stage canopy curated with thousands of flowers and neon birds, it was like stepping into another realm. The mirrored aisle was flanked by stunning installations of butterflies and flowers that gave one the feel of walking through a
meadow by the water, with reflections of flowers in the mesh above. Russian dancers flown in performed a musical concert through the evening, while others dressed up as flowers themselves to welcome guests. A noted veena artist had everyone enraptured with her melodious tunes. It was a night to remember!
This impressive occasion saw a gargantuan effort comprising over 50 varieties of props, 5000 meters of fabric, 14000 man hours, and 500000 exotic flowers from across the world, all of which came together to transform an area of 40000 sq ft. into Palais de Grandeur for 2500 guests.
