B-town descends for Hinduja Wedding in Udaipur, J Lo to perform

Last week WeddingSutra first broke the news that J Lo is coming to India– for Anu Mahtani and Sanjay Hinduja’s grand nuptials in Udaipur (click here to read the post). A few representatives from national and electronic media got in touch with us soon after to know more, but we could only share what we published. And while the elite guests and globe-trotters are enjoying the celebrations and looking forward to J Lo’s performance, here’s more.
The celebration started with a pre-wedding bash at the Hinduja residence in Juhu after which the girls side (the Mahtanis who live in Mount Pleasant Road, Malabar Hill) hosted a party at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. The action commenced in Udaipur yesterday afternoon with the arrival of many high profile guests at the Airport. Event Planners Cox & Kings and representatives of the several hotels where the guests are staying- Lake Palace, Udai Vilas, Leela, Radisson and The Lalit were there to welcome the guests who included top industrialists Kumaramangalam Birla and Anil Ambani, actors Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Chunky Pandey, Dino Morea and master couturier Manish Malhotra.

At the welcome party last night, Terence Lewis and his troupe gave a scintillating dance performance after which American Artist Nicole Scherzinger, the ex lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls was the star performer. As we write this post the Mehndi celebrations are on and tonight is the Sangeet where family members and close friends will be dancing; this will be followed by a performance by Vishal-Shekhar, and appearances by B-town stars (in all probability Malaika Arora Khan and Akshay Kumar). As for J Lo, the entertainment managers (Wedniksha- a division of Wizcraft) and the hosts have not revealed if she will be performing tonight or post the wedding ceremony tomorrow. One of the guests quipped “they want to keep it as a surprise or for security reasons its a secret. In fact other guests are even wondering if its J Lo or some other top international artiste for the finale act at the sangeet or post wedding party.”

While Udaipur is talking about the international artists, some of the biggest names from the world of weddings and Indian entertainment are involved with the three day celebrations. The main event planners are Cox & Kings, while Aditya Motwane is the wedding planner from the bride’s side. Wedniksha (a division of Wizcraft) are taking care of the entertainment while Dhun Cordo from Mumbai is orchestrating the decor and design. Top photographers Badal & Raja Jain, makeup maestro Mickey Contractor, ace choreographer Rajendra Masterji and many other wedding specialists are among those in Udaipur today.
