Bridal Beginnings at Zoya- Nishka Lulla
Bridal Fashion and Beauty - Jan 28, 2015
‘Jewels of the Rajputana’ – Zoya’s most exquisite and grand collection of the year pays tribute to the magnificent legacy of the Rajputs. Camels, kotah painters, the golden desert, swirling skirts, mirror work, colorful turbans, intricate leather work and the culture’s noble and courageous history, are all elements that served as muses to design Zoya’s latest majestic collection, crafted with the finest polki in unique settings, exquisite handcrafted enameling and embellished with precious stones. Inspired by this unique collection, we hosted our latest Bridal Beginnings shoot at Zoya for which we invited three brides-to-be. Here, in the last of the three-part series, we feature talented designer and bride-to-be Nishka Lulla.
The Jewels she wore
Nishka wore a necklace featuring rows of shinning polkis, locked upon delightful rubies at the ends. She complimented the classic neck-piece with earrings which drizzled with beads, from an umbrella of polkis knit with gold, and a skillfully created and contemporary designed bracelet.
Bridal Look
Nishka chose a bridal ensemble designed by none other than her mother Neeta Lulla. She looked radiant in an elegant cream net lehenga with sequins work, which was paired with an intricate and sparkling hand embellished beautifully cut blouse.
To compliment the stylish outfit, Makeup Artist Kumar Iyer first used a full coverage oil free Matte foundation by Bobbi Brown to even out her skin. He then swept her cheeks with a MAC Style blush. Next, he used a Laura Mercier lip plumper on her lips, topped it with a peach gold gloss by Lancome, and then filled her lips using a Bobbi Brown Petal lip pencil. For her eyes, Kumar used the MAC mineralise high shine eyeshadow for a soft smokey look. He then used the Lakme Absolute Kohl and Hypnose Drama Mascara by Lancome, after curling her lashes with a Shu Uemura lash curler. With her makeup done, Kumar then created waves with Nishka’s straight hair, pinning it away from the face for a soft bridal look.
