Founded in 2013, Diva’ni honors the revival of authentic and handcrafted “zardozi.” With the 75-year legacy of its parent company – KBSH Pvt. Ltd, the brand celebrates the pre-colonial nostalgia and timeless beauty of ancient Punjab and Awadh (Oudh) province.
The lavish new store in the capital boasts of bespoke interiors conceptualized and executed by Studio Incept. Brides-to-be can now browse bridal ensembles in a traditional style setting with uplit vaulted ceilings, hand textured walls, Rajasthan Khareda stone floor, antique bronze mirror ceilings create an immersive space experience evoking luxury and allows one to sink back into a different world. The “Tree of Life” mint-stone hand-carved mural wall captures the grandeur and reflects the Diva’ni ethos of “Craft meets Culture.”.
As you enter the new Diva’ni store, one can admire the arresting craftsmanship and design of the green malachite and mother of pearl inlay table commissioned to be made in Agra. It is crafted by the Shilp Guru Iqbal Ahmad who is the 12th Descendent of one of India’s finest craftsmen who worked on the Taj Mahal more than 300 years ago. Styled together with an antique Persian rug sourced from Iran and glass blown chandelier sourced from Firozabad, it makes the space reminiscent of the bygone memoirs. Traditional crafts such as carving, etching, leafing, stone laying, and antique precious and semi-precious elements are all celebrated and showcased in this store.
The brand is all about sartorial creativity, culture and heritage craftsmanship and each ensemble celebrate the undying legacy of Hindostan.
